The first elimination

No one's POV

James was under his invisibility cloak at almost midnight following a curious and distressed Lily Evans.

James had secretly slipped a note to Lily during the day without anyone noticing him including Lily.

The letter told Lily to come to the room of requirement at midnight unless a terrible secret of hers would be revealed.

Flashback to how James found out Lily's secret

"Yes I'm sure this will work!" Whispered Lily to her best friend, Mary McDonald.

James just so happened to have been around the corner and heard Lily one loud whisper, but then she returned to using very quiet words that James couldn't hear so James was curious and knew it was a secret. So he took out his invisibility cloak and put it on and got near them.

James thought that maybe he could use the secret to blackmail her to not be near Severus anymore.

And he was right.

"But isn't that illegal?" Said Mary McDonald, a tad of nervousness in her voice.

"It'll be worth it, plus, you I'm pretty sure Severus is already in love with me, this is just a precaution." Whispered Lily to her best friend, she looked around as if to make sure no one was watching and pulled out a heart shaped pink potion, instantly James knew what it was cause it was one of the potions he found interesting, it was Amortentia, the strongest love potion.

"A precaution you'll use on him forever? You could be sent to Azkaban just cause you already stole the potion and are thinking about doing this, Lily." Said Mary, Lily rolled her eyes.

"Oh c'mon it won't hurt anybody to do so, I'm gonna give the potion to him this Friday in the morning and then confess to him in the afternoon, and we'll live happily ever after." Said Lily, a bit of obsession in her voice.

"Let's go." Said Mary, Lily put the potion back into the cloak and the 2 of them headed to the Griffindor tower.

'Gotcha.' Thought James in his head, James recorded the whole conversation with a video camera he made with magic.

End of flashback

They arrived at the ROR (Room Of Requirement) but Lily noticed there was no door.

James quickly and quietly, still under his cloak walked past the ROR 3 times to summon the door to the ROR.

Then it appeared, James quickly and again quietly put on a mask that covered his face and used a spell to change his voice, then he opened the door and went inside, he knew to Lily this would look a little nerve racking but he made his way to one of the chairs and without Lily seeing as she just stepped into the room, he took off the invisibility cloak and used magic to close and lock the door.

"W-who are you?" Said Lily once she noticed James, but of course she didn't know it was James since he had a mask on and changed his voice,

"Someone, now let's skip to the point, I have a secret of yours that can send you to Azkaban, however, if you don't go near Severus anymore I will not leak your secret to the ministry."said James, though with the change of voice he sounded a little deeper, but it still made a difference and Lily couldn't recognize him as James.

"W-well you probably don't have a secret of mine and your probably just bluffing!" Shouted Lily, though she was still distressed.

"This is bluffing?" said James, and he pulled out the video camera that he used to record Lily's conversation with Mary, he played the video in front of Lily and by the time it ended all color drained from her face.

"How did you get that!?" Shouted Lily.

"I have my ways, now will you be leaving MY Sevy alone or will I have to make you have to go to Azkaban to not be near him anymore?" Said James, he was smirking behind his mask.

"F-fine." Said Lily.

"Great! Now that also means no dating, being near him, talking, acknowledging, interacting, with him, understood? Oh and if he keeps on trying to talk to you say that you don't want to be friends with him anymore." Said James crossly Lily just nodded.

"Good, now off you go, wouldn't want a teacher finding you." Said James, and then Lily left, after a few moments James left too under his invisibility cloak.

Sure Lily ignoring Severus now would make him sad but it would give James a chance to get close to him.

The next day

"Hey Lily!" Said Severus, Lily just ran away leaving Severus confused.

An hour later

"Lily!" Shouted Sev to Lily but she left again.

Throughout the day Severus tried to communicate with Lily but she just left and by the end of the day Lily did what James said to do if Severus kept on trying to talk to her.

"I'm sorry Sev but we can't be friends anymore." Said Lily to Severus then she ran away.

Severus felt a pang in his heart and looked down because he started crying then went outside into the forbidden forest and wept against a tree and sat down.

Moments later someone appeared.

"Hey, are you ok?" Said James. Severus didn't notice him until James said that which made him jump a little.

"W-what do you want Potter." Snarled Severus, James sat down beside him.

"Nothing, just, I heard you crying and was worried about you." Said James sincerely, Severus believed it for a second before he went back to his senses.

"Why would you care?" Sniffled Severus, James put an arm around his shoulders.

"I may bully you, but I'm not a heartless monster. How about this, I don't bully you anymore and we can be friends?" Asked James.

Severus thought about for a moment, but then after all, all he would have to give him is his friendship for the bullying to stop.

"F-fine." Stuttered Severus.

"Good, now as your friend tell me what's wrong, why you were crying here, friends comfort friends." Said James, Severus hesitated, but then.

"Lily said she didn't want to be my friend anymore. I've known her since I was 9, and she was my only friend before Hogwarts and my closest friend during Hogwarts, but now she left me without telling me why but I know it's probably because I'm a bad friend or just cause it's me and cause I'm ugly and-" ranted Severus before he was cut off. James grabbed Severus's chin and pulled it to his direction.

"You're none of those things Severus, your a great friend and your wonderful and beautiful, your the bestest friend ever and Evans is crazy for not wanting to be friends with someone as wonderful as you." Said James, Severus blushed lightly but it wasn't noticeable.

"T-thank you..." Severus looked down to avoid James's gaze.

"But why are you here in the forbidden forest, it's dangerous here." Asked Severus.

"Oh I was taking a walk, I like walking here even though it's dangerous." Lied James, in reality James followed Severus here under his invisibility cloak.

"Oh ok, we'll see you later... I guess." Said Severus before standing up and starting to walk back to Hogwarts.

"Bye Sev!" Shouted James, Severus stopped at hearing his nickname only close friends called him that but then said,

"Bye James!"
