"Um, Mulcibier?" Severus said, James was beside Severus so what did he do? He decided to hold Severus hand because why not?

But this time instead of flinching or being flustered, Severus didn't acknowledge it.

"Follow me I have have to talk to you." Mulcibier said, Severus silently followed, he had a blank look on his face which was weird to James cause in the past few weeks he had been friends with him he seemed more lively and emotion based.

And James did not like this one bit.

James never liked Mulcibier, he seemed of and dark to him, plus there was rumors of this one gang (I made this a no Voldemort au at the beginning and I'm staying true to my word so it'll just be a gang of purebloods who don't like muggle borns so they protest and stuff and sometimes kill them, though in the end of the story most of them get arrested. And others stop it all together and just silently hold their judgments with a few slurs here and there.)

Since their potion was done and they had free time on class cause everyone finished 10 minutes before class ended.

So James snuck out of the class right outside the door where the other 2 were standing 10 yards away from him.

"Are you joining or not!?" Said Mulcibier harshly, Severus seemed to flinch which James cause James to be more infuriated.

"C-calm down... others might hear you..." Severus said.

"Well then put a noise blocking barrier around us so no one can hear us." Hissed Mulcibier irritably.

James needed to be inside the barrier or else he wouldn't be able to hear the conversation, so what did he do?

He used the invisibility cloak.

He also had it on hand for things like this and more, particularly stalking Severus but we aren't going to talk about that, anyways he put it on and got close to them, in the middles but by the side so not directly in between the two Slytherin.

(Why did I think of a dirty joke while writing that? Idk.)

"You know those filthy mu-bl—ods should be eliminated, c'mon join us, and we can give you a better life." Mulcibier said to the onyx eyed boy.

"My bestfriend is a muggle born how could I join!?" Severus shouted at Mulcibier, but as he turned to leave his wrist was grabbed by the other and slammed into the wall.

"You better listen and obey me or they'll be consequences you know..." Mulcibier hollowly said, as if all human emotion left him except a small irritation and a mean to threat.

"Let me go! I'll never join you and your retched cult!" Severus tried to free himself from Mulcibier's grasp but it was no use. The other was more stronger to him.

Mulciber grew tired of the back and forth argument on this.

He took out a knife and held it to the raven haired boy's throat.

"If you don't listen. I'll have to do this my own way, I'm doing this for your own good, the others probably would've tried to kill you, but I persuaded them not to." Mulcibier darkly and threateningly said, carefully and lightly gliding the knife around the others throat.

"Why?" Asked the other.

"Cause I Love you."

Mulcibier grinned at Severus slightly pushing the knife harder against his throat, enough to get just a few drops of blood out.

"You'll come with us right? Right?" Mulcibier said, grinning and getting his face closer to the shorter boys, making him shiver with fear, and slight disgust.

"Never."

Mulciber's grin dropped to a scowl, then brought up the knife above him and stabbed Severus in the chest.

"Severus!" James yelled. Taking off the invisibility cloak, he then tackled Mulciber.

Severus quickly took off the sound barrier, barely being able to do that out of shock of the wound and James appearing out of nowhere.

It all happened in a flash, Severus fainted, James called for help, Slughorn was able to capture or well apprehend I guess Mulciber and put him asleep so he wouldn't fight back.

Madam Pomfrey was in the hospital wing with Severus trying to heal him, James sitting beside the other felling bad he couldn't save him.

Soon it was sorted out though, Mulciber was taken into custody by a Auror, and soon would have a trial. Severus's wound was bleeding badly but not severe or deadly, and with magic would just have small problems with his lungs for about a week. And The Auror's were looking into this gang of anti muggle borns.

When Severus woke up in the hostpital wing after he fainted James was there, holding his right hand while sitting in a chair sleeping, his head laying down half on his own arm and half on the onyx boy's hand.

Severus smiled and got closer to James, and also falling asleep, right next to his crushes hand.
