Recovery

James was sitting on the medical bed, on the edge, Severus peacefully sleeping, like his memory just wasn't in danger

James sighed, how much much he loved this man, loved this man enough to kill for him.

James brushed Severus's hair off his face, when up close you could actually sense magic around Severus, which it, in fact, turned out he had been wearing glamours to cover up his real appearance.

If James wasn't fully in love with the boy, he sure was now.

Severus had porcelain skin ( I was gonna say as white as snow but then I realized I already used this snow white reference in another chapter 😔) and wavy, silky hair. Though he still had the beautiful Onyx eyes that James fell In love with.

The way James found out about this is when Madam Pomfrey did a first check up on him with James there and they found out, they reason he did that it to cover up the bruises some Slytherins gave him.

After considering it for a moment he leaned in, for a kiss

He kissed him quite softy, Severus unconsciously cuddling into his more.

James took a moment to appreciate everything, and Severus mainly.

Just as James was about to lean in for another kiss Severus's eyes fluttered open.

"Jamie?" Severus mumbled, still half asleep. James blushed at this, oh how he loved Severus and everything he did.

"Yes?"

"Mhhmph, I love you." And with that Severus feel back asleep, leaving James stunned.

Holy fuck holy shit what do I do!???? Thought James, sure he loved Severus and fantasized about them finally getting together but this was a whole new level for him.

So, James just watched Severus sleep, creepy I know, but what else could he do? Especially since Severus's head was in his lap so he couldn't (and wouldn't) move.

James considered waking up Severus and talking it out but he kinda chickened out cause he was a coward that was afraid of rejection.

I love Severus what do I do? I live for Severus so what the hell do I do!??? Thought James pondering even more on what to do.

But his next move was made for him as madam Pomfrey entered the room.

"You have to go Mr.Potter, Mr. Snape needs a check up and you have class."

And that's how James got kicked out the hospital wing.

Darn it, well he'll talk to Severus about it later then, for now he has classes to deal with. And it's not like anything would happen, right?

But little did he know, when a certain boy would wake up and remember what he said, he would misunderstand James's reason for leaving and thinking that he didn't love Severus causing him to go into a panic.
