Theories and Discussion- Jeff the Killer

To preface this, canon Jeff the Killer is never stated to have killed his family. He wasn't bullied by three kids and he didn't carve a smile into his face or any of that other stuff. Those are fan-made stories created as a way of expanding the original Jeff video. I'll cover the canon one first and the fanon one second. I'm using the 2015 fanon remake as opposed to the 2011 one because the 2011 one sucks. The 2015 one was voted to be the official fanon version so I'd prefer to use that.

Canon Appearance/Info

His original creator, Sesseur, posted a video to explain Jeff's origin. It was removed from the Creepypasta wiki as well as YouTube, but it was reuploaded by another person. In the video he shows photos of both Jeff and Liu, but he doesn't specify which is the older brother. Also, their last name is said to be Hodek, but that isn't in the video. The creator's DeviantArt does feature the last name, though.

Jeff's personality isn't described at all, really. All that's said is that he was never the same after his face was burned and that he killed the people infesting the world. His appearance before his accident was that of a skinny teenager with short brown hair and pale skin. After his accident, his skin was ghostly white from acid burns. He's said to have gotten the burns when trying to clean out the bathtub with acid. He slipped on a bar of soap and the acid splashed on him, burning his face. When his neighbors heard his screaming, they took him to the hospital. Liu was at work but rushed to the hospital when he heard.

That's it, that's all there is to it. The most well known photo of Jeff that you've all probably seen (it's linked on Quotev) used to be the subject of heavy debate. There was a fake story about it being a photo of a girl named Katy, but that isn't true. The actual origin is a bit ambiguous but it's thought to come from a Japanese message board in 2005. I've also seen an explanation saying it's a person in a latex mask that's been heavily photoshopped, and it does look that way.

Canon Traits

The only thing that can be inferred from the video is that he was originally a normal dude before shifting into a murderer.

Canon Motive

His motive may be sheer madness that stems from his drastic new appearance. The event was traumatic, so I guess it pushed him over the edge.

Fanon Appearance/Info

His hair color is the only real physical descriptor we have other than his injuries but it's not said if it's dyed, burned, or natural. His hair is black and nearly covers his forehead. He's a 15 year old boy born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and he has a younger brother named Liu. Liu is only a year younger. Their parents are named Shelia and Matt Woods and they're very emotionally neglectful. They put on a show for Jeff and Liu's friends, but in reality, all they want is to make friends with the parents of Jeff and Liu's friends. They're big social climbers and they use their children to do that.
