Season 1; Chapter 2; First Match

Anouk's POV

When I opened my eyes, I felt myself laying against someone and that person had their arms wrapped around me. I also soon had the worst headache ever. I rubbed my eyes and looked besides me to see that I was laying against Leah Williamson. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me, a blush covering both of our cheeks. She quickly removed her arms that were around me and cleared her throat.

Every time that I looked into her eyes, I seemed to get more and more lost in them. My friends knew that I've had a crush on her for the longest time. She truly was beautiful. Her eyes were so bright. As if she had nothing to hide. She was truly content.

Leah's pov

She was staring. But so was I, probably. When I looked into her eyes, they were so stunning. Such a bright blue. But when you looked past the surface of her eyes, people say that the eyes are the opening to their soul, however, when I tried to look for that in her eyes, she was completely closed off. The only time that her eyes had kind of opened up, was during her call with Jackie when the blonde had mentioned something about her past.

We both jumped when someone cleared their throat. I looked up to see that it was Jordan. Oh great. Don't get me wrong, Jordan and I will always be friends, but after our recent break up, things have been very tense between us. "Leah, can I talk to you for a moment?"

Anouk immediately got off of me to give me the space to get up. My body suddenly felt very cold. I don't like being cold. I stood up and walked away with Jordan.

Anouk's pov

Leah's eyes closed off the moment that Jordan was standing besides us. I wonder what happened between them. I got up and looked around Daan's house, noticing how almost everyone was still asleep. I had a brilliant idea. I whipped my phone out and ordered us food. When the doorbell rang, I happily opened the door, giving the poor boy a tip and thanked him for the food as he thanked me for the tip. I walked back inside of the house with the bags in my arms, soon the smell of McDonalds breakfast flew into everyone's noses and everyone was awake and chomping down on the food.

"Thanks for the breakfast Anouk!" "Yeah! You're the best!" "Thank you for ordering vegetarian too!" I chuckled and just ate my breakfast.

Time skip

It had been 2 weeks since I joined Arsenal and since we had the party. I grew very close with Leah and Katie. The thing with Katie was, she's a menace on the field, almost every match getting a yellow card, but outside of the field, she was the biggest sweetheart you could imagine and she'd go through hell for you. We also got the nickname 'the chaotic duo'.

Today was our first match in the league, I was in the starting 11. That surprised me a bit when Jonas told me, but I happily accepted it of course. The game of today was against West Ham United. Home advantage.

When I woke up, I put my trainers on, brushed my teeth and my hair and went for a small run. After my run, I made myself some breakfast which existed out of a bagle and bread with butter and Dutch hagelslag with some orange juice.

When I was done, I got in my car and drove down to the stadium.

We were on the field, warming up for the game. The bubbly me was gone and I had my game face on. Whenever a game is about to start, that's the only thing that I had in mind.

"It's Van de Leer's big debut today, what are you thinking of this?"

"It should be a big day for her today. After winning the player of the tournament, everyone has been excited to see her shine today. I think that it will be a great game."
