Anouk's pov

I have been going to a therapist now. It helped to talk about everything. Leah and I were good. She didn't live constantly with me anymore. It made the house a little bit emptier but I also loved the being alone sometimes because my schedule was absolutely booked.

I had interview after interview. Talking about everything over and over again. Nike and Calvin Klein had also reached out to me to pose for them as a model and I had agreed to do it.

I also went back to training. The girls had lost against Chelsea, which was quite painful for everyone, but they had won against Slavia Praha for the Champions League which was special and nice because we were closer to getting to the Quarter-Finals. I was cleared to start training with the team again and I absolutely loved it. I felt free. But it also meant that my schedule was tighter.

Despite everything that was going on, I had now become a role model for little girls and my socials just kept blowing up, gaining a lot of followers. I also received a lot of hate but I ignored them, at least, I tried to ignore most of them. Leah and I had been very open about our relationship to the outside world.

We were at practice when Jonas called me to the front. "Girls, Anouk has something to say to all of you." I walked up to the front. "Alright, so, I wanted to ask you all if you would be up for a monthly game night. Just an evening one time a month to bond and play whatever we feel like. I have a basement with a lot of space so I can put my house open if you want me to, but just let me know if you all think if we should."

Kim looked at the others and everyone seemed to have the same thought. "That's an awesome idea." Everyone nodded their heads enthusiastically.

I smiled cheekily and got hyped. "I'm glad that you all like the idea." Jill stood in front of me and ruffled my hair. "The youngest one might be the most creative one here ladies. Something's wrong." I swatted her hand away. "If you're jealous of me, you can just tell me you know." She scoffed playfully. "Me? Jealous? You must be dreaming girl." I laughed snd stuck my tongue out at her.

We all continued to go inside of the gym to end our practice with an hour of lifting. I was training next to Katie. "Hey. I have an idea." She hummed. "What's your idea?" A smile played in the corners of my lips. "We should buy GoPros and start doing vlogs of our lives." She smirked. "I like that idea young one." I groaned. "Oh fuck off McCard." She laughed. "Just watch me, next game, I won't get a yellow." I smiled. "How much do you want to bet on that?" She was feeling confident. "How about 50 pounds?" I laughed. "You're on."

I moved towards a box and turned it on the highest side. I stood in front of it and started doing box jumps. The moment that I started to do that, Leah's eyes were glued to my legs. I looked straight at her and winked. She blushed and went back to her own workout. I heard a gagging noise and looked behind me to see Viv. "Oh fuck off." I gave her the middle finger and she laughed.

I couldn't play against Manchester City yet and I also wasn't allowed to travel with the national team to play games for the EURO qualifiers. I hated it, but I did my best to support everyone.

I was in the crowd, in the family and friends section to cheer for my club. I had been there a long time before the match would start because I had gone with Leah. I was bored in the stands when a lady came closer to me. I looked confused for a second, looking into the sun, but when I noticed who it was, I gasped, trying to fix my clothing. She put her hand out towards me and I shook it quickly. "Hi, it's so nice to meet you Miss Williamson." She laughed and shook her head. "The pleasure is all mine Anouk. You can just call me Amanda. You are my daughter's girlfriend after all." I blushed slightly. "Leah can't shut up about you, you know?" I raised my eyebrows. "Really?" She had a really nice and kind aura around her. "Yes. Really. And I wanted to tell you that you're very inspiring. Not just for little girls around the globe, but also for grown women like myself. I couldn't imagine how you must have felt going through all of it." I just smiled at her, weirdly touched by her words. "I just tried my best to get through it. I still am. I don't mean to be rude, but can we please stop talking about this subject? I feel like it's all I have become but I am still me." She nodded her head and we started to talk about Leah instead.
