I hold Sir close to me while he sleeps on my chest. Blue lays in bed next to me with her phone in hand. I can't believe my baby is already nine years old it doesn't even feel like I gave birth to her nine years ago.
"Baby!" Megan calls out as she walks into the room with Rumi in her arms
"Hi my sweet angel." I say as I open my arms up for Rumi
"Hi mommy." Rumi squeals as she gets out of Megan's arms then she runs to me before jumping into the bed
"How are you princess?" I ask her
"I'm happy! Mama gave me ice cream." Rumi tells me as she rests her head on my shoulder
"She did? What flavor baby?" I ask her while matching her energy
"Mint chocolate chip it was so good!" She says happily before diverting her attention onto the movie that Blue is watching on her phone
"What did you want baby?" I ask Megan
"Oh, our song got nominated for a Grammy, and brown skin girl got nominated as well." Megan tells me sounding calm as hell
"Brown skin girl?" I ask as I slowly sit up
"Yup." Megan replies with a smile on her face
"Blue did you hear that?" I ask her
"Mhm." Blue replies obviously not paying attention
"Blue." I say louder
"Yes?" She replies then she puts her phone down in front of Rumi so she can watch the movie
"You're Grammy nominated princess." I tell her
Her eyes widen and a wide smile forms on her face, flashing us the orange bands on her braces.
"No way!" She exclaims happily
"Yes way." Megan replies matching her energy as she sits in bed next to her
"That's so awesome, I'm gonna be just like you guys!" Blue exclaims
I have 27 Grammys and Megan's has 26 with a combination of 63. Blue has always thought that was super cool and she's always wanted a Grammy so it's really cool that she's nominated for a Grammy.
"Don't be too disappointed if you don't win okay?" Megan says to her
"That won't be a problem because I'm gonna win anyways." Blue says confidently
"I know that's right." Megan says before high-fiving Blue
10:30 pm
"You have lost your fucking mind!" I exclaim while following after her
"Shut up you're gonna wake up our kids." Megan says as she leans against the island with a drink in her hand
"No you're being so fucking nonchalant about this and I don't like it." I respond upping my tone
"I'm not being nonchalant you're just mad about stupid shit." Megan rebuttals
