As I lay in bed doing my homework for the entire week the loud ringing of the doorbell echos through the house. I get out of my bed then I slide on my Gucci slippers. I already know it's Nydia because I invited her over after school.

"I'll get it!" I exclaim so my nanny knows she doesn't have to get the door

"Alright Blue!" My nanny, Mariah says

I run downstairs then I go to the front door before opening it. Once I open the door Nydia immediately throws her backpack down before jumping into my arms making me groan. She wraps her legs around my waist then she rests her hands on each side of my shoulder, hugging me tightly.

"Congratulations!" She squeals

"For what?" I ask as she jumps out of my arms

"Blue Ivy Knowles, singer, dancer, and Grammy award winner." Nydia says as she puts her hand out as if she's showing me a picture

"Shut up" I say playfully as I look down whilst chuckling

"Come on let's get some snacks." I tell her

"Alright." She replies before picking up her backpack and closing the door behind her

She quickly takes off her shoes then she walks faster so she can catch up to me. Once she catches up to me she takes my hand in hers as we walk to the kitchen.

"I like a guy." She tells me

"A guy?" I ask her

I guess I sounded shocked because she started laughing so hard, you would've thought I told a funny joke.

"Damn did you think I was gay or something?" She jokes as she nudges me softly

"What? No, of course not. There's nothing wrong with being gay I just thought..erm..you know." I feel myself getting flustered

"Relax Blue Blue I was just joking." She tells me

"I know, sorry." I whisper as I look down trying to hide my red face

"Anyways who's the guy?" I ask quickly changing the subject

"His name is Damarcus. he's so nice to me he gave me his breakfast this morning and he kept calling me pretty." She says with a smile on her face while swaying side to side

"That's it? I do that all the time!" I exclaim playfully

"But that's different, boys are weird and they don't normally do stuff like that. Plus you're my best friend you have to say and do stuff like that." She says while resting her head on my shoulder

"Is he cute?" I ask her as I grab a bag of Doritos

"Yea. He's so cute, he's 14 though so he's going to highschool next year so I won't see him as much." She tells me as she grabs a banana and a bottle of fruit punch
