Seventeen

I clasp my hands together as I walk behind my parents while we go into the restaurant. Once we walk inside all of a sudden I hear clapping and cheering. I raise my eyebrow then I look down diverting my attention to my phone. Everyone in the restaurant are cheering my parents names. We finally make it to our vip section that's closed off from everyone else.

I sit down at the booth then I scoot all the way to the left so my body is pressed against the wall. I push my silk pressed hair out of my face then I place my phone face down on the table.

"Who claps at a restaurant?" I ask playfully as I grab the menu

"I don't even understand it." Mom responds while laughing softly

Once I open the menu and I'm immediately met with French words. I bite my lip then I tilt my head.

"They don't have a English menu?" I ask them

"You don't remember French?" Mama asks me

"I can kinda read it but it's kinda broken up for me." I respond

"I'll see if they have an English menu." Mama responds then she gets out of the booth

"What are you getting mommy" I ask her

"I'm getting beef fillet and oxtail potatoes." She tells me

"Ew." I reply

"You judging me?" Mom asks me playfully making me smile softly

"Yes" I say and she laughs in response

"I'm going to get the Salade de homard" I stammer while trying to read it in French

"Lobster salad, hm..that sounds good." Mommy says

After a second mama finally comes back with nothing in her hand. She sits back down next to mommy then she picks up her menu.

"They didn't have any English menus baby, sorry." She apologizes

"It's okay mama I already know what I'm going to get." I tell her and she nods in response

"Baby, what do you think the twins will want us to get them?" Mama asks

"The kids menu is right here." I speak up

"And that's where you should be getting your food from but you're so spoiled." Mama jokes

"That's your fault, you're the one who spoils me." I reply making her smile

We are going to New York City tonight for New York fashion week because my mama is going to be on the runway. We're also going for my mama's charity foundation so it's going to be a busy weekend. Nydia is currently in New York because her mother is modeling as well.

My phone dings loudly, I quickly pick my phone up then I unlock my it. I notice that the notification is from Nydia.

"Just touched down in my hometown, I miss you so much Blue Blue 😕" sent at 12:59 pm
