The Pearl Necklace

One fine day, when I came back,
From the river bank,
I had a look at myself in the mirror,
Alas! My pearl necklace was no longer,
Around my neck anymore.

In despair, I tried to recall,
Where did I lose it,
The last place I went to,
Was the riverside,
I feel helpless and upset.

I run to Keshav to ask Him for help,
Because it was a precious adornment,
I have to find it and take it back,
There's no way I can lose it.

As soon as I enter Nidhivan,
I see divine sparkles,
And hear the whispering of trees,
All echoes are swaying,
The melody is mesmerizing.

I peep in to get a closer view,
I see Keshav dancing in the middle,
Beaming like a turquoise jewel,
Surrounded by beautiful pristine Gopis.

Keshav, the sapphire pendant,
And the Gopis, pure white pearls,
For the milkmaids' hearts are as pure as milk,
Twirling around, matching the rhythm.

Each flower blooms bright,
Even in the moonlight,
The jasmine of the night,
Blossoming in delight.

I now realize that I have not really lost,
But rather found this transcendental necklace,
What value does the material necklace hold,
When I am blessed by Keshav's abundance.
