Chapter Warnings: cursing, fat phobia, mentions of trauma, bullying, workplace discrimination, harassment, just tons of feelings, angst.

Despite the emphasis on peace and harmony within society, humans were deemed below the wolves in the social hierarchy created back when the wolves first came out of hiding. As a human yourself, you were the butt of most jokes told while attending school. You had grown up in the mountains of California, deep in the redwoods, and lived in a town that held few human inhabitants, your family included.

Despite this, your upbringing was full of laughter, you and your siblings playing with the neighborhood children in the street, waiting for the streetlights to turn on as a signal for you return home. As you got older, and your child-like baby fat remained, you were soon deemed outside of the normal beauty standards that most humans and wolves used to measure their worth. Your skin was constantly dry, no matter the moisturizer you used, your clothes never seemed to be in style, and you were constantly studying.

You couldn't seem to catch a break; everything you did was wrong.

When you graduated from high school, and moved out of your tiny hometown, you had your own kind of awakening. You learned that close-minded people dislike anyone that is different from them. You made friends that would be there for you whenever. Your studying habits were seen as normal and needed, a tool to help you succeed in life and in the workplace.

You also learned about yourself, and where you desired to be in the world. Your love and skill with technology and languages is something most companies would kill for; many offers pouring in from around the world before your college graduation was even announced.

One such invitation came from the Bangtan Corporation, one of the leading multimedia companies out of Asia. An opening for a Translator/Copywriter was the added boost for you to leave your home country, something you had been dreaming about since you were little.

You would be working in the International Affairs division of Bangtan Co. located in Seoul, South Korea. Founded by a pack of soulmates in 2016, the business is now one of the biggest faces in multimedia.

You work under the International Affairs division, translating important documents and paperwork into English and Spanish from Korean, and using your writing and language skills to copywrite documents for the heads of the departments. Despite being hired directly by Jung Hoseok, and approved by Jeon Jungkook, you had yet to meet any of the CEO's, something entirely common as most of your coworkers have never seen them.

In your two years employed by Bangtan Co., you hadn't even caught a glimpse of the supposedly handsome and elusive CEO's. You also didn't know if you wanted to; you wanted to stay away from the pack of mates, hoping not to get caught on their radar. Your experiences with wolves were not the best, and you hoped that you could just fly under the radar, keep to yourself, and enjoy life in South Korea.

However, things never really go how you plan them to.

"Y/N, I just sent you an email. We need the document translated into Spanish for our branch in Mexico City." Your supervisor spoke quickly as she walked by, her attention elsewhere as she walks past your desk.

You had just arrived at the office, your cubicle next to the entrance of the Supervisor's office. You had been here two years and loved the energy and people on your floor. At first, you had trouble adjusting to the new environment, moving to Korea right after your graduation. The Korean language was still new to you, and you remember fumbling your words at your entrance meeting, causing some laughter to ring out from your new coworkers.
