A week had passed from the time the lord Joo had his dose of the cure, but his pain was slow and steady coming back. He hadn't seen Dan in these days, there was no desire to do that as he wasn't feeling that ill, and he had more important things in mind. The crops were going well, and the majority of the commoners were equipped with the necessary for the winter. There had been no signals of those barbarians that attacked his land every once in a while, and the other provinces near him seemed peaceful enough. The demon may still be pleased from the last time, but his own mind was wondering where that man came from. Thinking of him and how his existence seemed off, from how he looked to how he even fit in the panorama. He didn't look like he was from the area, even if his facial features resembled some of the commoners. If he was one of them, he looked very well taken care of.

His skin looked clean, without a tan or the scars a lot of the farmer boys used to have, and his nails were taken care of, thus he didn't worked at the fields or with the animals. As a matter of fact, the only scar he had was very pristine and almost impossible to see, down in the right side of his waist, but it was small and very well cleaned. He would've missed it had he not been paying close attention to him. His hands, feet, hair, and face were pretty soft, so he's not an artisan of any kind. Commoner wasn't an option, and the only available one is that he's a noble of some kind.

However, his name didn't rang a bell at all from any noble family in the area, shit, of the whole country. There wasn't a "Kim Dan" that lived in any noble family. He had no manners, didn't knew how to address the servants or even himself in that first night, and let's not even start with the "Seoul" city he said he lived in. He pondered about it over his teacup, wondering where this mystery man came from, and why is he so eager to go back to a place that isn't in the map. Where did he come from? Who is he looking for? Who is he?

That man was a mystery his body ached to solve.

Dan, in his room, is walking in circles around the bed, incapable of resting. To the surprise of the staff in the household, he survived the first few days after the initial ritual, but now that his survival was assured a guard was assigned to his room, keeping an eye on him every hour of the day. It wasn't like he planned to escape anyway, he was as lost as one can be in a place they're not supposed to be in the first place.

To occupy his mind, he thought about the issue with the lord's demonic possession. It couldn't be a possession, demons aren't real, that was completely off the table. The answer had to be something in his body, anything that could answer the bodily reaction that gave the lord his symptoms. If he found the answer, he wasn't going to need that ritual he so desperately seem to need.

He was a doctor, he could do that, but what has he noticed so far? He only saw him up close the first night, and most of it was a blurry memory in his head. He was walking around the courtyard in what seemed a slow pace, and he continued to do that for a couple of nights a week whenever he watched through the window. That night they were together he seemed to struggle with his walk in the room, and he noticed how his hands trembled a little when grabbing small stuff like the oil bottle. It was a premeditated diagnosis, and he lacked the equipment adequate enough to be more specific, but it seemed like the lord struggled with his joints. Could it be arthritis? Maybe, but he had to work on something before his pain came back. Upon some premeditation, the doctor knew exactly what to do. He looked at the door, where he knew the guard was, and knocked it softly waiting for him to open. Once he had it in front of him, he smiled amicably.

―I need to talk to lord Joo, I think I have a better cure for his... demon.

Faster than expected, Dan was soon in front of the man who was still enjoying his cup of tea and gulped: He wasn't waiting for this to be that fast.
