Seoul, Korea, XXI Century

Dan fainted a couple of times on the way to the new room they were taking him in that basement. He had vague memories, going from flickering lights in the roof above them to the compassionate eyes of the doctor on his right, who kept covering his eyes with a cloth that just kept on falling to the side, as if she was trying to stop him from snooping around too much. At his left, Kim Min-Jun was in charge of opening the doors for the doctor who kept looking away from him. After a couple minutes, they switched him from a bed to a wheelchair seeing that Dan was more conscious than before, but more for their commodity as they kept walking in what seemed an eternal hallway.

That let him see a little more of both the doctor and Min-Jun. Her face mask covered most of her face, so her dark eyes were the only clue he had of her identity, and although he was familiar with Min-Jun's face, what had caught his attention was the Jericho 941 he carried in his belt, covered only by his coat. He had seen those before, back when he did his military service after high school, but he had never been good with them, thing he deeply regretted at the moment; he was better with assault rifles anyway.

Are you feeling well, Kim Dan? Min-Jun asked, raising an eyebrow as he pulled out a cigarette, ready to smoke. Before he could turn it on, the doctor that just finished fixing Dan's posture in the chair slapped it out of his hand in a quick movement. Min-Jun pouted at her, to no avail as she just waved her finger and shook her head in silence. Oh what? The cat ate your tongue, Doc? He frowned.

My head... it still hurts a little. Dan simply murmured.

Not really a surprise, you are a beast when it comes to drinking. Once we're done here, I'm taking you to a contest for sure. Min-Jun laughed softly, putting his cigarettes away for now. If you ask me, I think you're still drunk, or at least entering the hangover phase. What do you think, Doc? He asked, looking at the doctor who just stared at him, and without uttering another word proceeded to push the chair towards the way they needed. Fine. Ignore me then.

Min-Jun finally closed his mouth, walking next to the doctor who still remained quiet, focused in making sure Dan looked presentable enough for the next step.

Once they reached what looked like the final door of their journey, Min-Jun opened it, letting the doctor in first as she pushed the wheelchair. There weren't a lot of people besides the three of them, or at least he couldn't see them even if he listened two different voices talking what seemed gibberish in the background.

―Please bring in Subject 738 so we can start. ―Commanded a mystery man from the top of some stairs, who soon gained a face when Kim Min-Jun took Dan by the arms, helping him walk. Why is he still in the wheelchair?

―My apologies, sir. ―Min-Jun excused himself. Doctor Park didn't woke him up on time. He'll be ready soon.

―Hurry up, we don't have all night. ―Commanded the scientist.

The doctor that had accompanied Dan all along helped him stand up, letting him lean over her shoulder so he could walk better. Dan, not knowing what else he could do, he walked besides her, abstaining of doing any sudden movements that could worsen his situation more than it already was. But as of now, he observed.

It was a closed room, full of buttons and lights that almost seemed to come out of a movie. There were two men in the room besides Min-Jun and himself, taking notes of the whole ordeal at the top of some stairs that seemed to be next to a control panel in the room. In the middle of that place there was a metallic contraption containing a small window, tall enough maybe to fit him, but scary enough to make him want to run away from it. The doctor walked him there with the help of Min-Jun as the man in the top of the stairs, short and chubby, got close to them while the other one stayed in the control panel, ready start talking before Dan interrupted him.
