Five days after Kim Dan returned.

How is he doing Chae-Yeong? Do you think he's waking up soon?

The doctor sighed softly, looking at the comatose man right in front of her. He has been this way since the surgery and treatment to save his life, but so far his vitals are just fine. He's just not waking up.

It's unsure... Everything's in order and the machine and studies haven't shown any odd cerebral activity in any of the cortexes besides the hippocampus, but that was expected. Every soldier returns home with that zone damaged...

Not me though, you know I'm perfect and so is my pretty brain. ―he smiled widely.

Oh no, absolutely not. ―she answered sarcastically. ―The only part of your brain that's damaged is the frontal lobe. ―she pushed him softly as she took off her gloves, walking out of the room.

What does that mean? ―Min-Jun looked at her. ―Hey, what is that supposed to mean?

He quickly followed her out of the room, looking at the doctor as she walked towards the break room. Min-Jun has tried endlessly to get her attention ever since they met a couple years ago and so far it has failed over and over. Countless attempts to get a date have been futile, especially the one where he tried to take her to a horse riding session and she almost kicked him in the crotch. How was he supposed to know she was terrified of horses? He has been drawn to her from day one: not even he knew why that is, or why he was so insistent compared to the quickness he left his other girlfriends before. All he knew is that he wanted to be with this much closed off doctor.

Chae-Yeong! ―he called for her, getting closer. ―I've heard of this awesome soju spot not so far from Dan's grandma's hospital, we should check it...

Knock it down. How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not interested in going out with you? ―she raised her eyebrow. ―We are coworkers. We work together. Why are you so insistent?

For starters, I'm very cute and you're gorgeous, smart, intelligent, coherent and amazing. I want to be seen with you. I don't think I've ever hidden that before.

Chae-Yeong raised an eyebrow, looking at her coworker quite unfazed by this. She was sure he was just a talker trying to get his way into her bed since they met four years ago, so it's not surprising to anyone that she's skeptical to his wooing.

You're just making me pity you even more, Min-Jun.

Oh come on. ―he snorted and sat on a chair nearby as Chae-Yeong took out her lunch from the small fridge, sitting at the other side of the table while he ignored the chatter of nearby nurses. ―If you pity me so much, why don't you just go out with me once? If you like it, that I think you would, then its set, and if you don't, then it's set too.

I pity you, but I'm not desperate.

Chae-Yeong-ah... please. A pretty man like me would be the perfect accessory for a woman like you. You could wear me like a key-chain. ―he winked.

You're obnoxious. ―she scoffed, eating some fruit. Min-Jun was about to answer but he stopped upon his ringtone. It was a blasting K-Pop song that Chae-Yeong despised. ―You still have that tone?

It's a good song!

Jesus Christ, if it was a good group I could bear it, but that's pure noise.
