Wang Chung's
The seven messily traipsed to their final destination with buzzing bodies, led by Jimin who was walking backwards impressively. He animatedly unpacked Taehyung's prank at Rumfire to the group who was none the wiser until then. Jimin couldn't help but double over in drunken giggles as he summarized his best friend's masterpiece, and while almost falling to the ground twice, he managed to stay upright with Yoongi's help. Jeongguk was no better, cracking up and bumping into walls as he learned of his hyung's antics. He felt warm and nostalgic for the young mischief they used to bond over.
"I'm impressed, Taehyung-ah," grinned Yoongi, flashing a rare and endearing gummy smile. "You got balls." The rest of the group agreed with glee. Jin and Namjoon were particularly elated to see the waggish and silly side of Taehyung continuing to resurface.
Jimin grinned proudly. "That's my bestie. Taking down the world's douchebags, one bag at a time."
"How poetic," Taehyung cackled.
"And he almost got caught, but Jeonggukie saved his ass!" Jimin laughed. Jeongguk glanced at a guilty looking Taehyung with confusion.
"I did?" Jeongguk questioned.
"You did..." Taehyung paused. After a deep breath, he fessed up with a hyper-speed slur. "The guy saw me watching him and I panicked so I kissed you so he wouldn't think I was the one buying his drinks fuck I'm so sorry Kook-ah!" Taehyung blushed and held his head in his hands, denying his vision and causing him to take swerving steps. Jeongguk pulled his hands down and stopped him as the group stumbled on.
"Why are you apologizing?" Jeongguk asked, trying to stifle his grin towards his adorably sheepish hyung.
Taehyung continued with an alarmingly fast rate of speech. "I didn't think you'd mind but now I can't stop thinking about how upset you got at the beach when you thought I was using you as a distraction." Taehyung was beginning to panic as his mind fell into drunken overthought.
"Hey, shh. Stop, hyung." Joengguk cradled his face. "You know I fucking love pranks. I'm honored to have been included." He smiled widely to convince his hyung, but the elder appeared unsure.
"Tae! Really. And it's not even the same thing. You weren't distracting yourself with me this time. And you weren't even distracting yourself at the beach. I shouldn't have accused you of that and I'm still very sorry for saying it. I thought you were upset over Bogum and I said that because I was jealous." Jeongguk huffed, distantly annoyed with himself. "Just... just don't overthink this, yeah?"
Taehyung looked up at him with a hopeful smile. "You're not mad?"
"Of course not. I'm proud of you. My little justice warrior," the younger teased. "We all saw the guy smack that poor server's behind. He was a bonafide asshole." Jeongguk stepped closer and whispered into his hyung's ear. "You owe me though. That kiss was so hot and unexpected. You're driving me crazy tonight."
Taehyung smirked lazily. "I owe you, do I?" Jeongguk nodded into the elder's neck and gently kissed under his jaw.
Taehyung hummed in satisfaction. "I may have some ideas." At his words, Jeongguk perked up like a puppy.
"What ideas?" Jeongguk questioned, his tone transitioning from seductive to that of an eager kid on Christmas morning.
"Wait and see," Taehyung whispered lowly. "Shall we catch up?" The elder was met with another nod and a soft peck on the lips before the pair jogged up to their group, waiting at the helm of Wang Chung's.
