Could never even think about leaving her.

Wednesday stumbles into the bar, unlit cigarette in her mouth hanging out. She knew she shouldn't be smoking, she knew, but she couldn't bring herself to care.

"You're heartless!"

She winches at the memory, her jaw clenched so tight it might snap. She didn't care, she never does apparently.

Wednesday looks around the bar, seeing it was almost empty. Just a couple of men and women passed out by the booths, and a few bartenders wiping down the counter and tables. She doesn't even like drinking, she just comes here because she likes it.

She looks at the bartender, not even bothering to say something. She just plops down on a stool, smacking her pack of cigarettes on the counter, the bartender gives her a look.

"Hey, Wednesday." The bartender sighs, Tammy was her name.

Wednesday has come here so many times she memorized all the workers names, Tammy was her favorite. She always seemed so uncomfortable around Wednesday, which Wednesday loved, but in some ways she reminded Wednesday of Enid. No. Don't think of her.

Wednesday nods to Tammy, grabbing a lighter from her pocket. Tammy inhales sharply through her nose, Wednesday knew she hated it when she smoked. Just like Enid.

"You know you're only seventeen, right? That shit will ruin you." Tammy says, tearing her eyes away from the broken raven haired girl.

"I genuinely want to die faster." Wednesday musters, adding a fake chuckle at the end. It was so hollow.

Tammy looks at her, resisting the urge to give Wednesday one of those lectures about how her life is important, just like how she does every time Wednesday comes in, even though Wednesday never listens. So she just decided to keep quiet this time.

Tammy wipes the counter awkwardly, Wednesday not noticing, or maybe she did and just didn't care. Tammy was way older than Wednesday, she always  scolded Wednesday, like a mother scolding their child. The same way Enid used to scold Wednesday.

"You never cared...did you?"

The words echo in Wednesday's head again, like they have this entire week. Or weeks. Wednesdays eye twitches, fingers rubbing her temples, like it would help. She does care. She cares so much.

"Rough day?" Tammy finally speaks, not daring to look at Wednesday. Like she would catch a disease if she does, and maybe she is a disease. All she ever does is destroy everything she touches.

Wednesday scoffs quietly, closing her eyes, like it would make her forget everything.

"Rough weeks." Wednesday breathes out, trying hard not to lash out on Tammy, for no reason. She didn't want to talk. Just sit there, in silence.

Tammy nods, picking up on how Wednesday felt non-verbal. Another thing Enid used to do. Wednesdays eye twitches again. Stop thinking about her.

"Am i just not important to you?!"

Wednesday shuffles in the stool, feeling uncomfortable so suddenly. She could feel everything. How sweaty her hands were. How this certain kind of fabric felt on her skin. How dry her mouth was. How that drunk guy in the back won't stop humming a song. It needed to stop.

Suddenly a phone rings. Tammy's. She jumps a bit at the sound, chucking slightly realizing it was just her phone. She takes it out of her pocket, and Wednesday could see how her eyes lit up when she saw who was calling. Wednesday raised an eyebrow, taking the cigarette out of her mouth.

"Hey, babe." Tammy says, a soft smile on her face. She brings the phone to her ear, giggling softly.

Wednesday scowls to herself, jaw clenched even tighter than before it that was possible. She feels a ball of fire burn in her stomach. They chat for a while, the silent bar filling with Tammy's giggles.

"Okay, bye, i love you." Tammy smiles, hanging up the phone, and as soon as she does, that smile never leaves her face.

Why was she so happy? Disgusting.

"That your boyfriend?" Wednesday asks quietly, restraining the anger.

"Girlfriend." Tammy corrects, putting her phone back in her pocket. Wednesday nods, burning the cigarette out on her thigh, it didn't hurt anymore.

"How long have you two been together?" Wednesdays asks, looking down at the pack of cigarettes, not wanting to have another one.

"Three years." Tammy replies slowly, confused why Wednesday was asking this.

Wednesday shakes her head, looking up at Tammy now.

"Aren't you two tired of each other?" Wednesday musters, eyebrow raised. She didn't know what she was doing, trying to anger Tammy maybe?

But Tammy doesn't seem angry, she just continues wiping the counters and cups.

"At times, of course." Tammy replies simply, like it was the easiest thing to answer.

Wednesdays expression hardens.

"At times, huh? Well, there must be times when you want to leave her." Wednesday tries again, tone a bit sharper this time.

"Of course there is." Tammy responds simply again, looking at Wednesday with an confused expression.

"So why are you still together?" Wednesday snaps firmly, eyes burning into Tammy's.

Tammy sighs, setting the cup that she was cleaning down, crossing her arms as she look at her.

"Listen, she could be really annoying." Tammy starts.

Enid was quite the pest too.

"She is also very clingy."

Enid always found a way to touch Wednesday at least once a day. Whether it was a hug or just casually heaving their hands together.

"She could be too energetic at times."

Enid was always practically jumping up and down when Wednesday saw her, with a huge smile on her face.

"And she might be a big cry baby."

Enid always cried when something didn't go her way, Wednesday found it so annoying, but could never bring herself to actually insult Enid for it.

"But all her flaws, will never compare to her smile."

Enid always had perfect smile, her fangs would sometimes show, Wednesday liked that.

"Her laugh."

Enid had what you would call, an contagious laugh. It was such a goofy laugh, it would make everyone else laugh. Sometimes it would even make Wednesday smirk.

"Her voice."

Enids voice was always so soft, so gentle. Even when they argued, she would never raise her voice at Wednesday. Wednesday also liked that.

"Everything about her is all so perfect, which is why i could never eve-" Tammy tries to say, but is cut off by a domed out Wednesday.

"Even think about leaving her." Wednesday musters, eyes burning.

She stumbles out of the chair. Tammy smiles softly. Wednesday clears her throat, bolting out of the Bar, mind racing. Tammy giggles, her girlfriend wasn't really like that, but she knew Enid was, and she knew that she had just helped Wednesday.

Wednesday runs. Runs so fast her legs burn, she reaches the nearest telephone booth. Thank god she had those left over coins. She shakily takes the coins out, shoving them into the slot. She punched in the number, having it memorized by heart.

She quickly brings the phone to her ear, sighing softly. It answers after the second ring. Wednesday could feel her heart stop, mouth suddenly so dry again.

"Hello?" A voice says, her voice. It was so soft, Wednesday missed it.

"Enid?" Wednesday whispers.
