"I'd be worried if you transfer to Dauntless, dear" Jeanine walk around the office with a cup of tea

"Why is that?" Although she is Valkyrie's boss she's close to her

"You'll be like a mouse surrounded by cats in there" She looks concern

"I'll be fine Jeanine, I thought Erudite was for me but I was totally wrong" Valkyrie stood up

"Is it? Or you're  just saying that because your father wants to be with your brother" She corrected Valkyrie

Valkyrie just stood there in silence, Jeanin sighed

"Tomorrow is the big day, be at your best" After that she left the room

Valkyrie walked silently to exit the building to go home but she was scared her father would beat her up again

"Hey Valkyrie" Her friend Tasha greeted her as she exit the building

"Hi Tash what's up?" She looks at her

"I'm really gonna miss you when your gone" She pouted

"No you'll be alright here this is your destiny and mine is in a different way" Valkyrie smiled at her

When she got home, her father was there sitting on the chair with a dim of light beside him

"Dad I'm home" She calmly said before walking up to him kissing his head

He didn't seem drunk at all

"How was your day?" She asked him while putting some stuff in the closet

Her father didn't answer, instead he drink his alcohol

The next day Valkyrie woke up earlier than ever and got ready she tied her hair into a pony tail after that she exited her home with her father following behind her

And they walk towards the ceremony along with the other kids or transfers

Not long after the have arrived and had to stand outside for a minute, Valkyrie's father was no where to be found

Someone then bumped into her "Watch it stiff" A guy from Candor which describes his clothes

Valkyrie turns around to look at him and the boy chuckled

"Well, would you look at that...slightly brown hair just above the shoulders" He snickered "With blue ocean eyes" He added

He described her before laughing

Valkyrie didn't have the time to respond because before she could they were called inside

She sat with her father along with the other Erudite

"When I call your name, step forward and choose your faction. Now remember this factions leads to your future in whatever you pick" A guy who looks like Valkyrie's father announced

"Emily Logan?"

A girl then came forward, she looks like she's from Amity based on her clothes

"Peter Hayes"

Suddenly Valkyrie's eyes shot wide when it was the boy earlier

"Peter..." She whisper

He chosen... Dauntless

"Valkyrie Eaton"

Her name... That's her name, she froze for a moment but slowly stood up and went forward

She cut her hand and with a pint of blood she let it drop in...

"Dauntless!"

The Dauntless cheered loudly as they congratulate their new members

After the ceremony they run outside and Valkyrie followed, she felt this excitement she never felt before like she was free

The Dauntless started to climb and she followed too, when she got to the top she could see almost all the buildings but that not the very tall one's

She look up ahead and there was a train coming their way, the train was running at a crazy speed so she had to catch up with a incredibly fast run

She was the only one who didn't get in yet but she was looking for the right moment to jump in, in time one of the transfers saw her and decided to help her

He pulled her in just in time for the railing to disappear, Valkyrie breathe heavily

"Thank you" She said

"Your welcome" The boy walks away after that

"Transfer or born Dauntless?" A girl with dark skin and short hair asked her

She looks at her, she was really pretty

"Transfer... You?"

"Candor, Cristina Smith"

"Valkyrie Eaton"

"Are they trying to kill us?" Another girl said

She was even more beautiful

Valkyrie and Cristina laugh it off

"Born Dauntless?" Valkyrie guess

"No, I'm first time here"

"Well, I'm Valkyrie, Valkyrie Eaton" She smiled

"Beatrice Prior"

Cristina nodded at her as she rest

An hour later we peeked out the train to see other Dauntless jumping off a building

"They're jumping" Cristina said

"They really are trying to kill us" Valkyrie joked

The girls chuckled

From the corner of Valkyrie's eyes she spotted the boy... Peter he was talking to a girl with short hair and bangs she looks fiercer

They were talking about something Valkyrie couldn't here since she was too far from them

But when their eyes met she immediately look away, Peter smirked which makes the girl he talks to turn around and spotted who he was smirking at

"It's not even the first day Peter" She rolled her eyes

"Well yes watch as she falls into me before the finals" He proudly said

"She's quite unique don't you think?" Drew looks at her

"With her light brown hair and blue eyes?" He added

"Hey! She's mine" Peter warned him

"Whoa, easy there bitch she's not yours to own yet" Molly said

"She will be, watch and learn sluts"

Peter looked at Valkyrie who was peeking outside the train as everyone else jumped, a smirk crept on his face thinking about his plan
