chapter 9

step nine - first time.

The sky was already showing signs of imminent rainfall. A dark cloud loomed overhead, casting a greyish hue over the city. Doyoung put down his luggage as he gestured to Taeil to clean himself first - the older male nodded without saying much.

The couple had just arrived in Kansai, Japan that early evening. Both of them were tired to their bone, especially Doyoung. He had just finished his last scene in the afternoon and he rush to his apartment and to Taeil's apartment and to Incheon airport to catch their flight.

Doyoung got his schedule from his manager that he will be getting a solo comeback after his drama finished shooting and the idol needs time off before stressing out about work again. He usually picks Jeju island for healing time but nowadays he has been thinking of spending more time with Taeil. He can't spend time with Taeil in Jeju since there will be a lot of his fans there.

The idol really needs a space where he just is free and just not care about his idol's image. He also wants Taeil to be comfortable, that's why he chooses Japan. Not like Doyoung is not popular in Japan but as far as he has been visiting Japan, his Japanese fans really treasure his privacy.

He was planning to bring Taeil out for dinner at his favourite place but the heavy rain had ruined his first plan. Thankfully he had bought a few snacks and instant noodles. Doyoung is so exhausted he could sleep an instant while being sticky but Taeil needs to eat.

Taeil stepped out of the bathroom fully clothed. Doyoung smiled when he saw Taeil was wearing the pajama he once bought for him. Taeil was drying his hair using the hotel towel, his clean skin looks so fresh and it brighten his skin. Doyoung reached out to help the tiny man dry his hair. Taeil pushed him away softly, "Hurry. I am hungry."

The couple ate in silence. Taeil hadn't eaten since the morning because he was excited about the trip with Doyoung. This will be their first trip together as a couple and Taeil wanted to do well, it had been stressing Taeil out. He was excited and scared at the same time.

They were actually in a traditional homestay so the harsh rain pouring can be heard loudly. Doyoung picked the one with a big lawn in front so seeing the tree and bush being washed by the rain feels very refreshing.

Doyoung cleaned up after them and Taeil take the bed, he is tired and there is nothing else to do aside from sleeping. He knows that Doyoung was even more exhausted than he is. The usually talkative idol hasn't tried to hold a single conversation that day.

"I am so tired," Doyoung said. Fixing the heater, the way he knows Taeil would like it, as the turned off the light. He walked to the bed and lay his body next to his boyfriend. Taeil was stiff and nervous, Doyoung can feel it by the way his tiny boyfriend breathed.

He pulled Taeil in a hug, it took a full second for Taeil's body to relax in Doyoung's warm hold.

"Mm," Doyoung moaned softly sniffing over his boyfriend, freshly washed hair. "I hope it will not rain tomorrow. I have a lot of things I wanted to do with you."

Taeil didn't utter a single answer, Doyoung touched Taeil face to face him, raising his eyebrow as a way to ask, 'Is something wrong? Is Doyoung making Taeil uncomfortable?'

"I'm nervous, don't mind me." Taeil giggle softly, tighten his hug at Doyoung, and hug his face on the broad chest.

To think about it again this was his first ever trip with his boyfriend. When he was dating Sicheng, they were still a student and he didn't know that Sicheng is a billionaire then - not like knowing he is a billionaire will change anything but.. yeah. When Taeil was dating Johnny, the man did bring Taeil to Chicago to meet his parents and that was it. They never really go anywhere alone, because he is a public figure after all. Mostly their meeting or dating was done inside Johnny's house.
