step five: level up

"The heat is crazy!" Taeyong screamed out so loud once they entered the waiting room assigned to them.

"Fuck!" Yuta added as he takes a far away seat from the other members.

It wasn't exactly a big of a room as the other staff was also slowly filling the room. Mark takes the seat close to Yuta, Johnny takes Taeyong's right and Doyoung takes the left. The manager that was leading the project was talking to their manager.

The heat hit 50 degrees in Bangkok, Thailand. All local citizen was given a warning text to stay inside and stop their outside activities to prevent heatstroke. It has been a crazy heatwave in Southeast Asia for months now. They probably will rent a venue to film now for a very obvious reason.

And Doyoung is right. The manager announced that the member can go back to their room and filming will resume tomorrow as the organizer and the manager of the project find a proper venue.

The members get time of their own as the staff gathers all their stuff. Everyone was busy with their phone. Doyoung pulled out his phone as he scrolls down KaKaoTalk. His eyes stay on Taeil's bubble. He pressed open Taeil's text, ignoring the important work text he hasn't had time to open.

Taeil was giving him a picture of his newly learned pastry. Doyoung chuckled as he started updating about his days and the crazy heat in Thailand. Taeil replied to his text so fast. Like, Doyoung doesn't understand the exact topic they talk about every day but it's just so fun talking to Taeil. They can talk nonsense every day, and it will always be fun.

"How are your games going?" Taeyong asked, it wasn't loud as other non-player was in the room with them. "You don't talk much about it." Most players will talk and update the other player on their progress and Doyoung never talks about Taeil unless they asked about it.

At first, there wasn't really anything to update. But since Taeil opened up to Doyoung, everything had been slow but had been progressing so well. Taeil really, really like Doyoung – that's what he can confirm. Taeil is very genuine and he is very cute.

Also, Taeil is very honest. When he finds something uncomfortable, he will straightforwardly confront Doyoung about it. If something upset him or made him mad – he will ask Doyoung to stop doing whatever he was doing. It's very easy to be friends with Taeil because of that.

Instead of silence. He always voices out his feeling. It is just very convenient for Doyoung because sometimes Doyoung doesn't really think when he talks. It's good that Taeil reminds him about things he dislikes so Doyoung can filter his words before talking to Taeil.

Doyoung learns a lot from that trait alone. Doyoung is the type to bottle up his feeling, thinking that he didn't want to bother other people with the way he was thinking. But looking at Taeil, being honest about his feeling is better. Being direct with his word makes it easy for people to understand him.

Working in front of everyone's eyes, though Doyoung doesn't think when he talks because it is funny for the audience to watch spontaneous conversation – Doyoung actually thinks a lot when he wasn't in front of the camera. He was having a problem talking like a normal human being. He was afraid he will hurt others with his words.

But with Taeil. He can say whatever he wants without the fear of being judged or fear of being wrong. If Taeil doesn't like it, he will say it. It was nice if everyone uses their mouth to point out their feeling instead of wishing people to read their minds.

Doyoung was about to answer Taeyong's question but Johnny chuckling over his phone dragged Doyoung to another long thought and question about his relationship with Taeil. Doyoung witnessed full months of Johnny's breakdown when he first broke up with Taeil – he makes it seems like Taeil is the bad guy.
