Now that Clyde and Taylor have finally finished high school, they have nothing to do.
Well, nothing to do until school starts again. But that isn't until a few months from now, so they have plenty of time to spend. It definitely isn't like they will waste that time, though, as any time Clyde and Taylor blissfully spend together will be used properly.
More properly if Clyde's parents aren't home.
Today, they have already managed to use up hours of their precious time. They definitely haven't gone anywhere special, like a fancy restaurant, they have only been in Clyde's bedroom. And honestly, Clyde prefers that much more than being outside.
To Clyde, it is so much better to spend hours tangled up in sheets, with her and Taylor's bodies intertwined. But it isn't like she doesn't enjoy being outside with Taylor, she simply prefers moments like this, where they can peacefully stay in their own world.
It's nice, peaceful, quiet. Though Clyde doesn't think she can really use that last word to describe whatever has happened over ten minutes ago. Clyde is definitely more than just thankful that her parents have gone to the store to buy her cats some food.
The room is still warm from the unfading tension, and Clyde honestly wishes it never will. She wants to bask and revel in this feeling forever, even though it clearly isn't something new. It just seems to get even better and better, and feel different, every time.
"Clyde."
She quickly turns her head and glances at Taylor on her bed. Taylor is still lying on top of the dirty sheets, still fully bare and unclothed. If Clyde isn't actually trying to win a stupid little game on her computer, she will definitely just keep her eyes on Taylor.
But Clyde isn't trying to get kicked. So, Clyde just shrugs and faces her monitor again, furrowing her brows as she tries to focus intently. It is obviously hard to, though, when Taylor is on her bed, still trying to come down from the high she has experienced.
"Hello? Why are you playing a game?"
"Am I not allowed to?" Clyde asks, never looking away.
"You almost made me cry!" Taylor says.
And a strong rush of smug confidence flows through Clyde's system. Her lips curve into a smirk as she simply continues playing the first-person shooter game on her screen, keeping her mouth tightly pressed shut as she kills three different in-game enemies.
But the smugness quickly fades once Clyde actually realizes that Taylor probably needs some help. Clyde waits for the round to finish before swiftly turning around again, finally getting a longer glance at Taylor. Immediately, she gives Taylor a worried look.
"I'm sorry? Want me to carry you to the bathroom?" Clyde offers.
"Can you get me one of your sweaters, please?"
In response, Clyde nods. But Clyde doesn't instantly get Taylor what she needs. Instead, Clyde focuses on her game again. She can't really pause it, and she will certainly hate it if her teammates immediately start voting to kick her because she hasn't moved.
A sigh leaves Taylor's chest and suddenly fills Clyde's ears, and Clyde has to desperately stop herself from falling into this trap. She wonders if Taylor is comfortable, though, since the room isn't too cold, but Taylor has been on the bed for a very long while.
Clyde doesn't have to worry about that for much longer, though, because she briefly dies in game. She grumbles in annoyance, but she speedily gets up from her chair and runs to her closet, rushingly digging through her drawers for a random sweater.
