Warning: Smut

"You wanna know something?" Chuck asked the next day as we sat by the lake, skipping stones into it. "When I grow up, I wanna be just like you."

"Aww, that's so sweet." I pulled him into a hug.

"It's true! Adam's so lucky. I wish you were my sister instead of his."

"Don't worry, Chuck. I prefer you to him anyway," I said.

"What's this?" Adam appeared, a knowing smirk on his face. "Am I getting demoted here?"

"Yeah. Sorry, bro. I stole your sister." I burst out laughing at Chuck's response. "She's all mine now."

"Do I get a say in this?"

"Nope," I teased.

~Gally's POV~

It had been a couple of days since Jules and I had confessed our feelings to each other. I'd been desperately trying to come up with a way of asking her out but nothing had come to mind. So, naturally, I asked Fry.

"I've been waiting for this day," Frypan said gleefully. "Right, so, do you know her favourite flowers?" I shook my head no. "Well shucking find out! What you wanna do is give her a bouquet of them-"

"Where from, though? Last time I checked, there isn't a florist anywhere here."

"You're hopeless, Gally. You very obviously pick them yourself. Then take her into the forest, give her them and ask her. It's so simple even you can't screw this up."

"I wouldn't count on that. What if I panic and accidentally scream in her face that I want her to be my girlfriend?"

Fry burst out laughing. "I can imagine you doing that. But, seriously, just stay calm, trust yourself and you'll be fine."

That night, after dinner, I sat by the lake, my stomach a complete bundle of nerves as I waited for Jules to join me. I could do this. It should be easy. I knew she liked me. It was almost guaranteed that she would say yes. Yeah, I could do this.

"Hey," she said, sitting down next to me. "You said you wanted to speak to me?" Shit, I couldn't do this.

"I- uh- well- the thing is- um- yeah- like- basically-" I stopped talking. I couldn't form a shucking sentence or string two words together. The hell was going on?

"Gally, whatever it is, you can just tell me rather than stumbling over your speech, you dumb shank," she teased.

"Igottheseforyou." I clumsily thrust the flowers (that I had practically crushed by now) into her hands as I mentally scolded myself for speaking at a million miles an hour.

"Aw, I love them! Thank you!" She pecked my cheek.

"You're welcome." I could feel that my face had gone bright red.

We fell into an awkward silence as I kept my eyes firmly trained on the floor and she stared at me, waiting for me to say something.

Eventually, I managed to coax myself into asking her out.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Shucking hell. I was right; I did end up yelling that in her face. I was absolutely hopeless at this.
