Alora p.o.v

"Children, I have to inform you that I'll be away for a few days. Please, take care of yourselves, stay safe, and try not to give Alexander a hard time," Dad announced during dinner.

"Where are you headed?" Bruno inquired, prompting everyone to turn their attention to Dad.

"Switzerland," he responded.

"Why?" Vincenzo chimed in.

"I have a date," Dad replied with a smile, causing everyone to stare at him in surprise.

"Who?" "Why?" "When?" "Where?" Questions bombarded Dad, eliciting an awkward chuckle from him. He cleared his throat and began to answer.

"I've been talking with someone for a while, and we've decided to go on a date. That's why I'm heading to Switzerland. But it's not just for the date; I also have some work to wrap up there," he explained, piquing everyone's curiosity.

"But how did you meet this person?" Bruno asked, mouth full of food. "Bruno, my dear son, don't delve too deeply into your dad's love life. Focus on your own," Dad responded, laughing lightly.

"Alora, sweetheart, will you be alright? What will you do?" Dad asked me softly. I nodded in response, but before I could say anything, Lorenzo interjected, "Alora and I are going somewhere tonight." His statement left me confused, but his mischievous wink told me he had a plan.

Everyone looked at us, puzzled, but no one said anything. After dinner and bidding Dad goodbye, Lorenzo snuck into my room. "Where are we going?" I asked him, rising from my bed. "A race," he simply stated.

"Huh?" I asked, confused. He cleared his throat and elaborated, "Well, it's a car race. If you want to come with me. If not, that's okay." His nervousness was evident, but it only made me more excited. I quickly told him to wait and instructed him to meet me at the front door quietly.

"But why can't we tell the others?" I asked him. He turned to look at me with a serious expression.

"Because they won't let you go with me," he said before walking out. I got ready and walked towards the front door, slipping out quietly. As I turned around, I was met with a familiar back. The back of the person I despised the most.

"Ugh, you," I scoffed as Elias narrowed his eyes at me. But before he could say anything, I cut him off. "Why are you everywhere I go? Just so you know, stalking is a crime," I taunted.

He scoffed in return. "Please, me stalk you," he retorted, emphasizing 'me' and 'you'. Before I could respond, Lorenzo arrived and instructed everyone to quickly get in the car. "Why is he coming with us?" I asked, walking up to Lorenzo and leaving Elias behind. "We're taking his car, so we kinda need him, you know," he whispered before walking away. I quickly walked towards the car, fully aware that Elias was behind me. So, I swiftly moved to the side and opened the car door, hitting Elias' arm.

"Ouch!" he yelled, clutching his arm. But before he could say anything else, Lorenzo hushed us both. "Be quiet, guys."

I smirked at Elias and climbed into the car, looking to the side. I was shocked to find Zena sitting there. I gasped, and she smiled, giving me a side hug. The rest of the ride passed in a blur as Zena and I chatted away, ignoring Elias' hisses for us to be quiet. Our loud chatter only made Lorenzo chuckle.

We arrived at our destination, and I looked around in awe. There were so many people; it could easily be mistaken for a party. Lorenzo quickly came to my side and led me to a watchtower. "Stay here, okay? I don't want you getting hurt," he said before leaving. I looked out of the large window in front of me, which offered a clear view of the track. I watched as some cars raced around, and one of them suddenly drifted, making me gasp.
