Nicolo's P.O.V
"Why are we not finding her?!" Alex demanded, his voice tinged with desperation.
Vincenzo sighed in frustration. "I'm trying my best, Alex."
But Alex wasn't satisfied. His voice rose to a shout. "Well, try harder!"
Vincenzo's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenching in anger.
"STOP!" I commanded, my voice cutting through the tension like a knife.
Both of them turned to face me, their expressions a mix of surprise and irritation.
"Focus on finding her," I continued firmly. "Not on arguing like fools."
Both Alex and Vincenzo remained silent, their attention fixed on me. The tension in the room was palpable, but I refused to let it deter me.
"We need to pool our resources and think strategically," I asserted, my voice calm but resolute. "Arguing won't help us find her any faster. We must work together."
Alex took a deep breath, his anger subsiding slightly. "You're right," he conceded, albeit reluctantly. "What's our next step?"
Vincenzo nodded, his expression softening. "I've already initiated a search in the surrounding areas. We need to expand our efforts and inform more people. The more eyes we have looking, the better."
"Exactly," I agreed. "Vincenzo, keep track of any new leads and update us immediately".
Determination replaced the frustration that had dominated moments earlier. We had a plan, and we would execute it with precision. We were united in our mission to find her, and nothing would stand in our way.
"Alora, please be safe," I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. The weight of the situation pressed heavily on my shoulders.
Vincenzo meticulously monitored incoming leads, his eyes scanning the data for any hint of Alora's whereabouts. Hours passed, each moment feeling like an eternity. Our collective efforts began to bear fruit as more and more people joined the search. The energy was palpable, a shared resolve to find Alora and bring her home safely.
As we reconvened to share updates, Alex spoke up, his voice steady. "We've got a potential lead. A woman matching Alora's description was seen near the old warehouse district."
Vincenzo's eyes lit up with hope. "That's not far from here. We need to move quickly."
I nodded, the urgency of the situation driving us forward. "Let's go. We can't waste any more time."
Bruno stepped in front of us, blocking our path. "What if it's a trap?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.
I met his gaze, my expression soft yet resolute. "But we can't afford not to take the risk," I replied gently. "We owe it to Alora to check every lead, no matter how dangerous it might be."
Bruno hesitated, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on him. Finally, he nodded. "Alright, but we need to be prepared. We can't go in blindly."
"Agreed," Vincenzo said, his voice steady. "Let's plan our approach. We'll need to be cautious and ready for anything."
We quickly devised a strategy, mapping out our entry points and contingency plans. The air was thick with tension, but our determination remained unshaken. As we geared up and prepared to move out, I couldn't help but whisper a silent prayer for Alora's safety.
As we walked out of the mansion, Elias intercepted us at the front entrance. "I'm coming along," he declared, his voice resolute and unwavering.
I met his determined gaze and nodded. "We could use all the help we can get. Let's move."
