Alora's p.o.v
Im drawn to you, he confessed, his words hanging in the air like a sweet melody. My heart seemed to skip a beat, caught off guard by his admission. Before I could muster a response, a thunderous voice echoed through the room.
What did I just overhear? I turned to see my father, his face a mask of fury.
Elias, taken aback, stammered, I think Illuhhead in the opposite direction, and began to retreat hastily.
Seize him! my father commanded, and within moments, two guards had apprehended Elias, escorting him towards the house. I trailed behind them, too stunned to utter a word. As we entered the living room, I noticed Bruno, his expression mirroring my shock. Before he could inquire about the situation, my father instructed him to summon everyone else.
You two, he pointed at us, sit over there. As we moved towards the designated chairs, I caught Eliass eye, and he offered me a comforting smile. Gradually, everyone assembled in the room, their faces a mix of curiosity and concern. It felt as if I was on trial, with my father playing the stern judge.
Whats the matter? Vincenzo asked, breaking the silence. My father took a deep breath before revealing the cause of the commotion.
Elias has feelings for Alora. As soon as the words left his mouth, chaos ensued. The room was filled with a cacophony of voices, and I found myself retreating inward, my mind racing with flashbacks and my heart pounding in my chest. I dug my nails into my skin, desperate for a distraction. But before I could spiral further, I felt a gentle touch. Looking up, I saw Elias, his hand enveloping mine, his lips softly kissing the crescent-shaped scars left by my nails.
A pillow suddenly flew across the room, hitting Elias square in the face. Startled, I turned to my brothers, their faces a picture of outrage. He was kissing your hand! Xander exclaimed, as if Elias had committed a grave offense.
Xan, hes my boyfriend. Hes allowed to do that, I retorted, causing everyone to fall silent.
Wait, he just confessed his feelings for you. When did you two start dating? my father questioned, clearly taken aback.
Thats something I tell her every day because each day, my feelings for her only grow stronger, Elias murmured, his gaze locked on mine.
Im two seconds away from punching you, Marco threatened, his face contorted in disgust.
So, am I supposed to just let you date him? my father asked, his tone laced with resignation. Sighing, I rose from my chair and led my father out of the room.
Whats bothering you, Dad?
Nothing, he replied, but his tone suggested otherwise. I gave him a look that conveyed my skepticism.
He sighed, You just arrived here, and I havent even had the chance to make up for all the lost years. Seeing Elias with you makes me fear that youll choose him over me and leave your old father alone. But I suppose thats okay. Youre grown up now, and I didnt even get the chance to watch you grow up.
I embraced him tightly, Why would you think that? Dad, I would choose you over anyone. The moments weve spent together have been more precious than all the times weve missed.
He sighed again, took my hand, and led me back into the room. We walked in to find Elias on the floor, with Marco towering over him.
What are you doing? I asked, looking at them as they returned to their seats. Nothing, Marco replied, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
You can date each other- My fathers words left me speechless. My brothers jumped up, yelling in disbelief.
But I do have conditions that we will discuss privately. And if I see a single tear in her eye because of you, I will end you. Alora, you can take him outside while I talk with them, my father directed, pointing at my brothers who were still staring at him in shock. Elias was quick to follow me outside.
