A Tropical Dinner

I blinked twice then opened my eyes, I looked around the plane. I turned my head to Karlee, sleeping beside me, and Jade across from us, sitting beside a random man. I pulled the blind off the window, and gasped at the beautiful ocean under us. I clicked my phone on and saw a couples messages from Ruby.

From: Ruby

Hey, so are you on your way to Hawaii? Oh I wish I could've come. Oh, we picked up Sloan. She's fine, but she's in a cast.

To: Ruby

Yep, we're on the plane, I'm sorry to hear about Sloan, but she'll get better, tell her we say hi. At the moment I'm the only one awake on this plane! LOL!

I clicked my phone off and turned on some music, Kiss You by One Direction.

"Good Morning Miss, can I get you your breakfast?" The flight attendant asked with a thick southern accent. I quickly removed my ear plugs.

"Sure, thanks." I replies.

"Mine too please." Karlee added slowly sitting up.

"Sure thing sugar." She replied and left.

"I thought you'd be asleep for awhile longer." I say.

"How long have we been on this plane?" She asks.

"Five hours, around thirty minutes left." I say staring out the window, searching for land in the beautiful blue ocean.

"I'm so excited!" I say, turning back to Karlee.

"I can't believe that we're actually going to Hawaii!"

"You better believe it, because we're landing soon!" The flight attendant adds as she places our breakfast down.

Pancakes, with pineapple and coconut.

"Thanks." Karlee and I say and the flight attendant walks to other passengers that are waking up.

"They must be getting us ready for Hawaiian food." Jade says stretching and looking at our pancakes.

Karlee and I laugh and eat our steaming breakfast.

"Attention passengers, if you look out your window you we see Honolulu beach in the distance. We will be landing in ten minutes and we advise you to fasten your seat belts. Thank you for flying with Californian Airlines."

We fasten our seat belts and prepared to land.

"Aloha!" Said a man stringing a lei over our necks.

"Welcome to Hawaii!" He said smiling.

"Hey, can I get a selfie with you?" Jade asks smiling.

"Sure!"

Jade stood beside the man and he did the "hang ten" sign and Jade just smiled.

"Thanks, I'm trying to tease my boyfriend!" Jade said giggling, then we walked outside.

It was beautiful, no, breathe taking. The water was sparkling blue and the sand looked so soft. There were flowers everywhere, and surfers with no shirts, I may add.

I looked around, and tried not to stare at the surfers, which Jade found hilarious. But it was her loss, she can't go out with one of them so....her loss.

"Let's go to the hotel, then we can go to the beach!"

Karlee and I walk together to the hotel, both of us trying not to stare.

We walked through the door, and almost hung ourselves in beads, Karlee wanted to go under them, but I told her not to.

Once we found our room we raced into the elevator and ran up to the door. Jade slowly walked up to the door and swiped the card.

"Oh.my.god!" Jade said as the door swings open.

The room is stunning, the walls look like water, the view is the beach, there are hanging flowers on the walls, the beds have hibiscus flowers on them and the floor looks like sand.

I grab my phone and start recording.

"Hi Mom, Dad and Ruby! This a tour of our room in Hawaii! First we have a beautiful bedroom, next we have the master bedroom, the living room, kichen and bathrrom! ANd that giant window! Thanks for coming on the tour!" I stop the recording and sent it to them.

"Okay guys, where to first?" I ask unpacking my bag.

"Beach!" Jade yells grabbing her bathing suit and walking into the bathroom. I grab my teal bathing suit then close the door and get changed.

"Where's my sunscreen?" I hear Karlee yell.

"You mean the one that says one hundred fifty five?" Jade shouts back.

"Yeah."

"It's on the counter!"

"Karlee how do you tan with that high of sunscreen?"

"Well here that's still a tad high, but you shouldn't go any lower than fifty here, the sun is too intense!" I reply, stepping out of the bedroom.

"I'm using eighty and I'm still worried about burning!" I say and see Jade and Karlee standing in there bikinis.

"Alrighty, let's go." Jade says grabbing us each a towel covered on flower print.

"Karlee grabs her sunscreen and towel, then follows Jade and I into the hallway. I can't wait to see those surfers!
