It had been hours since Shadow left his garden, the demon knew he didn't really help the hedgehog get over what was upsetting him, if anything he probably just made it worse. He just stared at the gate, that lead out his garden.

He reached his hand out to try and open the gate, but he only felt an agonizing sensation in his fingers it was as if someone was stabbing him in the chest, he only pulled his hand back, letting out a small whimper, he only pinned his ears down...he was cursed to this land, to this garden, just because his Mother sinned...and he was getting punished for it.

He walked over to the pond where the fish were swimming in, he summoned a bag of fish food and just started to sprinkle it over the pond, watching the creatures eat the food. Besides the animals that come and go from his garden...he was alone...and had always been that way.

He never met his mother, nor has be met the mortal that is his Father, since he was purebred demon, other demons didn't really care for him, as he got older that was when the demons started to get abusive.

He looks down at his reflection, "Do you even have a name?" He asked his reflection, he only shook his head no. He was never given a name, thus he was forever damned to this location, since he didn't have a name he could be banished from this world by a priest...not that he was ever wanted back in Hell.

"I hope you come back..."  He thought to himself, Shadow was kind of the only interaction he had with the outside, and was kind of enjoying his company. But he knew not everyone could stay in his garden for long, they had places to be. A single tear drips onto the ground making a single flower blossom from the area.

After Shadow got back to his apartment, after he checked in with Rouge, he didn't really feel any different...he knew that demon wasn't to blame, since he was trying to cheer him up...but much like Rouge, he didn't have an success.

He didn't bother to respond to Rouge after her text, he just sat down with his back to the door. The only hated about this...was his immortality, even if his friend was alive today, he knew that he was just going out live her, hell he was going to out live everyone...that he got close to.

He looked down at his hands, only for it to show blood on his hands, and the dead body of the human girl laying a foot away from his own hands, he knew it was only an hallucination, his mind just messing with his guilt, that he feels for letting his best friend die.

He jumped when his phone started ring, wiping away the tears from his eyes, he picked up.

"Hey..."

"What do you want?"

"To talk...Look Shadow, I know you don't want to talk about your past...or even Her...but you really can't keep those emotions inside, I seen how you get with you bottle up those emotions, even anger"

Shadow looked down at his inhibitor rings, on his wrists, his chaos energy is connected to his emotions, thus his performance when he fight or us chaos energy, another reason why he wasn't able to chaos control earlier, mostly because his mind wasn't in the right place, he just balls his hands into a fist.

"Shadow?"

"I just need some space"

"Shadow don't yo-"

Shadow hung up on Rouge, he knew she was gonna call him back, just because of that...but he really needed to time alone, just to clear his head, he already knew he wasn't gonna be able to sleep tonight, not with she was still on his mind. If anything he just wanted death...he deserved anything of this. Before he knew it was had started to softly cry to himself. It was just so easy for him hide those emotions in front of everyone, but when he genuinely needed help, he just didn't know how to ask. So he just pushes them away, and this is wasn't any different.

Though he does give Rouge credit for being so stubborn in continually check up on him, she was a real friend for that.

But he was still gonna visit the garden, at least he knew that he had someone there to at least talk to and wouldn't judge him for the actions that he did.
