Rouge ended up showing up at Shadow's apartment, later in the night...mostly because she was concerned about him, of course it was a long travel because Angel Island is about maybe a thousand miles away on foot, but thanks to the new teleportation pads on the island it was much easier and faster way to travel, she started pounding on the door.

"SHADOW!?!"

She shouted from the other side of the door, she pressed her ear to the door to check for any footsteps, but when she didn't hear any, she pulls out a bobby-pin out of her vest pocket and started to pick the lock on the door, something that she did often, she did respect her friend's privacy, but as of right now...that big sister aura was taking over, and she just had to make sure. When she unlocked the door she forced it opened. To her surprise the apartment was rather clean, which was a good sign to tell her that he wasn't kidnapped. When she made it to Shadow's bedroom knocked on the door.

"Shadow...You better have a fucking reason for ignoring like that!?!" She hissed. She of course didn't get response, which only worried her even more...she tried the doorknob only to find that it was unlocked, she had her phone ready to call an ambulance, just in case...but what she saw kind of put her at ease.

Shadow was just laying awake on his bed, looking up at the ceiling, he knew Rouge was gonna and check up on him...when he didn't pick up, it was just in her nature to do that, they been together for six years so they knew each other's habits, and personalities.

"Damnit Shadow!?! You could've gave me a fucking heart attack" Rouge growled as she was somewhat trying not to cry...herself since she actually thought she was gonna have to call an ambulance, to get him checked out.

"I'm fine...okay, just chill" Shadow mutters, he really wasn't fine, if anything he was just pushing Rouge away, so she didn't have to see him like this...a mess.

Rouge lets out a shaken sigh, as she wipes away her tears...she had to admit Shadow was good at hiding his emotions...when he was around other people, but she knew the truth. "Shadow the Hedgehog, you are going to fucking tell me everything that is bothering you..." she ordered.

"Tsk and If I don't"

Rouge pulls over a chair and sits down with her legs crossed and her arms folded. "Then I'm not leaving from this spot" she admits.

Shadow only rolled his eyes, as he rolled onto his side so that he wasn't facing Rouge, he didn't have anything to say to her...nor anything that he didn't want to say her, this was his problem and he was gonna deal with it himself.

It was rather silent in the room, neither of them said a word to each other...Shadow's ear twitches when heard movement from the chair in his room, he looked over his shoulder see that Rouge had finally given up on trying to get him to talk, since she had left from her spot.

To be honest he wasn't really proud of himself for doing that...if anything he could've used that talk...but he was sick of the same thing.

"Oh your not alone you have me"

He knew that already, a friend isn't what he was missing in his life...and wasn't company either...to be honest he didn't really know what he was missing, from his days on the ARK, that G.U.N just happened to have taken from him.

He only glanced at the wall in his room for the time, it was only five on the morning. He didn't want to get out of bed...he didn't want to anything beside lay here. It's not like he could do anything...his chaos abilities were useless cause he's nothing but an emotional mess, and didn't want to be reminded of being some kind of tool for G.U.N if he went over to HQ.

"Shadow get up!! Silly, Grandfather is going make pancakes..."

Shadow only covers his ears from the painful memory, he missed that cheerful laugh and smile. He just hated this...it just hurt so much for him to be remembering all this...he just couldn't move on from her, no matter how hard he tried, or even faked it.

He just ended up tearing up again, as he was just trying to shut his mind up from giving him memories about his past. He only started to take deep breaths to try and calm himself down...he didn't need to cause an explosion, cause of his emotional distress. The last thing that he wanted to be locked away in a cage just because of his mental breakdown.

When he calmed himself down...that sudden feeling of himself about released all of that emotional pain, started to slowly go away.

"Rouge...is right, I can't be keeping all of this emotions inside..." he tells himself. As he just lays there on his bed. He was exhausted to do anything...but he was gonna visit that garden, at least there he knew he was away from civilization so if he did have a mental breakdown no one would get hurt from the blast.
