Sonic sniffs as he wipes away the tears from from his eyes, he didn't really understand why he was so upset...but for the first time in his life...he actually had a friend. Maybe something even more.
He looks down at the burn on his arm, only looked at his hand...he can still feel Shadow's touch in his only palm, the mortals hand was warm and comforting. He tilted his ears back. "What is this feeling?" He asked himself as he still felt Shadow's warms around his body, and his nuzzle on his cheek. "Is this what the mortals call love?..."

"Citizens, are being evacuated off Summer Resorts of Southern Island, by G.U.N forces, a massive brutal battle had started against Evil Genius, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and Bio-Weapon Project Shadow"
The News reported stated, as they were riding in the helicopter, the was flying safely over the island.
Shadow was mostly blinded by his rage, that none of Eggman bots were able to slow him down...whenever got in his way was either killed and dismantled to pieces. Though the doctor wasn't what he was after, the oddly-shaped human was just in the way, the real threat was none other G.U.N itself.
"We require back up immediately!" One of the Soldiers called back to HQ, by their head pieces.
"CHAOS SPEAR!?!"
Soldiers were getting killed just by the green energy spears, with the harsh chaos energy that Shadow's body was giving off, was rather regenerated the wounds from the gun fire that he was taking from the soldiers, guns.
It was of course just like the that alien invasion, that had six years ago...of course Towe, underestimated the power of the Ultimate Life Form, let alone the power of that one single chaos emerald he had on his person.
"GAH!?!"
"Where is he!?!" Shadow snarled as he choked out one of the soldiers that was in command of this operation.
"Tsk...like...I'd tell you..."
Shadow only tightens his grip around the humans neck, before he grunted when was blasted in the face, by causing him to let go of the soldier.
Omega switches his blasters back out for his robotic claws, "Ultimate Life Form...must be contain"
Shadow only growls, as he charges up a spin dash and just launching himself at the Robotic, who took hit rather easily, after all it was designed to handle anything that the hedgehog throw at it.
"I'm going to KILL HIM!?! For ruining everything!?!" Shadow snapped, at Omega.
About the time that Rouge arrived, she saw the carnage that Towe had started, at least she didn't have to worry about to Eggman, since he wasn't really the target here. This was the kind of thing that she feared would happen when all those emotions were suddenly released at once.
Shadow know of it his power, and how it was linked to his chaos energy, hints why the inhibitor rings were so important...it kept the energy balanced, but they were also holding that energy back, making the hedgehog a literal walking bomb.
"Don't tell me your plan on going down there?" Eggman argued with Rouge, he was in his own eggmobile.
"Tsk...I don't have choice...it's either risk the live of my best friend, or whole island" Rouge said as she flies into towards the island.
Eggman only shook his head, before he took off in his eggmobile, he can build another base...but he wasn't gonna stick around when Shadow blasts the place.
During the whole fight, Shadow managed to get the upper hand by ripping off Omega's arm and blasting the E-Series robot with its only lasers.
"Shadow!?"
The darker hedgehog turned his attention to Rouge who was flying in the air.
"Stay out of this!?!"
"That's not happening Shadow...just look at what you've have done" Rouge said as she was trying to reason with Shadow.
Shadow looked at the destruction of what was left of the city...from just that one blast of chaos energy, he didn't care...the soldiers got what they deserved and he wasn't stopping until Towe was dead.
"So what! They got what they deserved"
"Shadow! This isn't you...I get that your upset, but this isn't what"
Shadow growls as he smacks Rouge's hand away from touching him. "This is me...this and if I have to make sure the human race is gone...than I'm willing to take that chance"
Rouge took a hold of Shadow's hand, she was ignoring the burning pain that hedgehog was giving off because of the chaos energy. "That's not what I meant...Shadow listen...I know you upset...but this isn't what...she would've wanted from you"
Shadow can hear Rouge's whimper as she was focused on unclipping the inhibitor rings from his wrists and ankles.
"Shadow...I beg of you, please forgive them...like you they deserved a chance to happy, please...bring hope to humanity"
"Shadow..."
Shadow dropped Omega's arm, and did a double take on the destruction that he done...all because he control these emotions of his...but he really wasn't to blame here, after all Towe just had to ruin everything in his life.
"Rouge I..."
"Save it...Shadow, if I've known that Towe was gonna do this...I'd would have stopped him" Rouge said as she rubs her hands that were a deep red color cause the Shadow's chaos energy.
Shadow just noticed that he was starting to get light head, from all the energy that he had used, before pasted out. Omega grabbed him with his only good arm.
"Nice catch Omega" Rouge admits.
"Shadow...is gonna be out for a long time..." Omega said.
"I'm aware...now let's pay Towe a visit, I have few words I'd like to say to him" Rouge said as she spreads her wings to take flight.
Omega only followed behind her on solid ground.
