It's been at least two months since Shadow left the garden, Sonic hadn't really done much besides grief the lost of his first friend.
"I hope he's okay..." he thought as he wipes away the tears from his eyes, he really wanted to feel that feel again...that feeling of being loved, and to have Shadow's warmth on his body, to feel his hand in his own.
He rubs the new burns on his arms, from his stupid attempt of trying to leave his prison, only for him to suffer extremely amount of pain, that was far worse than having his own wings ripped out off his body.
Now that the seasons have started charging, less and less people visit his garden, which didn't bother him.
"Please comeback..." He cried to himself making the grass wilt and wither away from his own tears of loneliness.
The demon's ears perked up, when heard the sound of the gate opened, he didn't get his hopes up...it was probably just some animal brushing against the gate, or some family just wanting to experience the garden's beauty.
"Sonic..."
"S-Shadow?..."
The demon turned his gaze over to the hedgehog, that was waiting for him. "SHADOW!" He cried out as he ran towards the hedgehog only to tackle him down to the grass below, he just started sobbing into the hedgehog.
Shadow was surprised by the demon's sudden outburst...but his heart just started to flutter and shakenly he hugs the demon back, starting to cry into him...for the first time, he was actually crying in front someone, but he had a good reason too, in his many years of being alone, with all of his emotions that he just kept to himself, faking that happiness, he actually finally found what he was missing in his life.
"Sonic I..."
"I don't care...what it is...or if the gods and Satan forbid it, I just want you with me...or at least visit me"
Shadow only took ahold of Sonic's hands and he just leans down to give the demon a kiss on his lips.
This is what he was missing in his life, true love, and with Sonic he felt that true love.
Sure Maria me had taught him what true love was, but her love was nothing more than sibling love...Rouge's love was best friend love, but with Sonic, the demon that actually gave him to reason to keep coming to this garden.
When they parted lips, Shadow only looked deep into Sonic's eyes.
"I'm not going anywhere...you truly showed me what I've been missing in my life..."
Sonic sniffs as he only smiles, and snuggles into Shadow, his devil like tail forming into a heart. "Thank you...for everything..." he admits.
"No thank you...for opening my heart" Shadow added, as he wraps his arms around Sonic pulling him closer.
Rouge stopped herself at the gates of the garden, her hands wrapped up in bandages, she only had a soft smile on her muzzle when she heard the two.
"I knew this fairytale was real" She thought to herself.
