Roop's Pov

After waving him one last goodbye for the day, I rushed inside and locked the door behind me. I leaned against it for a second, my heart thumping so loudly that I was sure anyone could hear it.

I had never even held a boy’s hand romantically in my entire life. And just a minute ago… I had kissed the cheek of the most handsome man I had ever seen. Without thinking. Without planning. It just happened.

And the strangest part?
It felt right.

I pressed my palm to my chest, trying to calm myself. He is going to be my husband after all. The thought itself sent a shiver through me.

He looked just as surprised as I felt. Maybe even more. And then… he blushed.
That strong, 6ft handsome man blushing because of me.

God.

The memory replayed in my mind so clearly, his grey eyes widening, then softening, filled with surprise, happiness, and something deeper that made my breath hitch. Seeing those eyes look at me like that made millions of butterflies explode inside my stomach.

I smiled at myself, cheeks warm, heart racing.
If doing something so small could make him blush like that, then honestly… I wouldn’t mind doing it again.

I was still leaning against the door with a wide grin plastered on my face when bhabhi called my name from the kitchen,"Kya hua?"
(What happened?)

I might be blushing too. Yeah well I've been blushing the whole evening, I guess. I quickly got out of my daydreaming and went inside, "Kuch nhi."
(Nothing.)

Vedu was sitting on the table. She must've stayed to ask me about the date. And then tease me too. She looked up at me and asked with so much excitement, "Kaisi Rahi date?"

I smiled, "Perfect."

Bhabhi also smiled, "Wo to dikh rha hai."
(We can see that.)

Vedu squealed in happiness,"We need every detail."

Me and bhabhi laughed. I nodded at her, and bhabhi said with a smile,
“Yes, yes. But first go to the study room and tell Papa you’re back. He’s been pacing around the house ever since he came back from the office, waiting for you.”

I nodded quickly.
“Okay. I’ll talk to him and then freshen up.”

As I turned to leave, Vedu shouted from behind,
“And tell us everything!”

I shook my head at her drama, smiling to myself. I walked to the study room, knocked softly, and went inside.
“Papa.”

He immediately stood up from his desk and met me halfway.
“Oh, you’re back.”

I hugged him tight and looked up at his face.
“Yes, Papa. What happened?”

He smiled and shook his head.
“Nothing.”
