Chapter 8

(Eve's POV)

Carlisle, Esme and I traveled from Paris to Forks, Washington.

The journey went by surprisingly fast and before I even noticed I was already sitting in Carlisle's car while he was driving us to their home.

Carlisle parked his car in front of a big beautiful house. There were many big windows all around the house and there were a lot of wood elements used in the building. On the right side of the house was a huge balcony.

"Your house is lovely." I said when I stepped out of the car and looked around.

"Thank you. I'm happy to hear that." Esme smiled. "Let's go inside. I'll show you your room and then we can introduce you to the others."

"A room?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yes. You might be here for a little while. We have been told that when the snow sticks to the ground; the Volturi's will come. And that won't be for a while so we have time to wait for everyone to come."

"But no one else has their own room."

Esme nodded her head. "Carlisle wanted to give you your own room. He knows that you like to be alone and being with a lot of people takes a lot from you so he wanted you to have a space where you can go and relax for a while when needed. And when I heard his idea I thought that it was great. I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed."

"That is so nice of you and Carlisle."

"It's the least we can do. You and all the others risk so much for our family. The least we can do is to give you all a roof over your heads."

We walked inside the house. It was beautiful, beautifully decorated. Very open, bright and nice place.

"It's even lovelier on the inside." I spoke.

"Thank you. I designed it." Esme explained, smiling. "Follow me, I'll show you where your room is."

I followed her and she stopped in front of a door.

"Behind this door is your room." Esme pointed at the white door. "It's a guest room but now it's your room. There should be everything you need."

"Thank you so much." I gave her a small smile.

"Are everyone already here?" I asked.

"We are still waiting for one of our friends to arrive today. And a few others are coming some day after that."

"Rosalie and Emmett are getting him. It shouldn't take long. He shouldn't be too far away." Carlisle explained walking next to Esme and wrapped his arm around her waist.

I nodded and opened the door revealing an open room full of light coming from a window.

Walls painted white, light brown wooden floor. A white couch next to a big window, a bookshelf, a table with a chair next to it, a closet for clothes, white carpet on the floor and some paintings of the forest hanging on the walls.

"It's great. Thank you again."

"You're welcome. We will leave you now to settle in. Come upstairs to the living room when you are ready." Carlisle said.

I nodded and watched the two walk out of the room and close the door gently behind them.

I walked further in the room and looked around. I sat on the couch and placed my bag on the floor next to it. I looked out of the window which was almost the size of the whole wall.

Nothing but green forest could be seen from the window. It was peaceful.

I took my bag and placed it on my lap. I opened it and decided to challenge my clothes a bit.

I took off my black jean jacket and pulled out of my bag a pair of high waisted black dress pants and a white top. I changed into them and pulled my jean jacket back on. I brushed my fingers through my long hair and looked at myself from the mirror that was placed on the other side of the room.

I sat back on the couch for a minute after I left the room and headed upstairs like Carlisle had said.

When I got on the top in front of me opened a living room with many people standing in there and talking.

Everyone turned to look at me and I walked to them. Carlisle smiled when he saw me and came to stand next to me.

"Everyone. This is Eve."

Everyone started to introduce themselves to me and I did the same. I was scared at first how they were going to react since they most likely knew who I was and what I was known for. But everyone was very nice and welcoming.

"Hello I'm Edward and this is my wife Bella." A brown haired man with golden eyes walked up to me. "Thank you for coming."

"It's nice to meet you Edward and Bella." I smiled at them. "I hope I can help."

The couple gave me a last grateful smile before walking away.

After a while I had met everyone including Renesmee.

Everyone went back to talking with each other and I talked for a while with Benjamin before I walked to the balcony and just stood there alone taking in the view.

After a while I heard a car parking in front of the house and I heard Carlisle speaking.

"They are here."
