Chapter 15

It's been a while. Four months. That's a long time. But here we are again :)

Eve was standing on the side while everyone was training and some just showing off. It was the first day of all of them training. The main thing was to help Bella but some of them just did it for fun. But Eve didn't train or help someone to train Bella. She stood on the side and watched since talking about gifts was still making her really uncomfortable, not even talking about her using it again.

She and Garrett have been talking more and more and that has made her really enjoy his company. The two were still quite awkward around others (especially Eve) if talking about their mate bond but everything was becoming more natural slowly but surely.

A blonde haired woman with golden eyes walked next to Eve. Tanya.

"Hi." She spoke.

"Hi." Eve answered with a small smile.

"Why aren't you there to show off? You would beat all of them." She asked playfully.

Eve knew that she didn't mean any harm. But her words did make her uncomfortable. Some flashbacks flashed through her mind when thinking about her using her gift.

'Do it my child.' Aro whispered in her ear. 'He has disrespected us. Disrespected our laws. He deserves to be taught a lesson.' Eve stepped forward towards the male vampire on his knees on the white marble floor. She looked at him deep in his dark eyes before moving her right arm towards him. She made her hand into a tight fist making the man straighten his back. Then she twisted her fist quickly on the left... a big crack was heard and the man's head dropped on the floor.

"I don't like my gift. I would do anything to get rid of it. While everyone's else's gifts are beautiful and fascinating in their own ways, mine just brings fear and pain. It does nothing but harm to everyone around me." Eve answered Tanya.

The blonde woman beside her lowered her head. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Eve gave her a tiny smile.

Kate grabbed Bella's hand and used her power on her. Bella just turned to look at the blonde woman with a questioning look on her face.

"Oh yes, she's a shield. That should have putten her down on her ass." Kate spoke with an impressed smirk on her face.

"Or your voltage has been exaggerated." Garrett walked up to them with a small smirk on his face.

Kate turned to face him with a challenging smile on her face. "Maybe it only works on the weak." Kate smirked and brought her hand towards Garrett.

He looked at her and her hand. Somewhere deep inside him he knew that he shouldn't but he was a curious man and always up for challenges. And that side of him won.

"Garrett, I wouldn't." Carlisle warned the nomad.

Garrett brought his finger closer to the blonde's hand. He hesitated for only a second before pressing his fingertip against Kate's palm.

Garrett's eyes widened and he groaned in pain and fell on his knees on the ground.

A loud growl left Eve's throat when she saw her mate getting hurt. Someone hurt her mate. She took a step forward towards him. Everyone around turned to look at her. Her red eyes widened and she quickly lowered her head and stepped back.
