(Garrett's POV)
A sweet smell filled my nose the second I stepped out of Emmett's car and on the Cullens property.
I had never smelt anything like this before. I had smelt a lot of intoxicating smells coming from human blood but this was different. It didn't come from someone's blood.
Rosalie, Emmett and I walked inside the house and by every step the sweet intoxicating smell got stronger.
"Ahh Garrett!" Carlisle walked up to me at the front door. "Thank you for coming."
I nodded. "It's nice to see you again."
Carlisle studied me for a second. "Is everything alright? You seem a bit off somehow."
"I'm fine." I nodded and tried to gather myself a little. What is going on?
"Good. Let me introduce you to the others." Carlisle smiled and led me upstairs where everyone else was.
And once again the smell got stronger and stronger. By every step. And if the intoxicating smell wasn't enough I started to feel a pull. A pull that told me to just run upstairs and find the source of the amazing sweet smell.
By the time the two of us got upstairs a small growl left my throat making Carlisle glance at me. I just nodded telling him that everything was okay and it was nothing. I ran my fingers through my hair and tried even harder to calm down.
"Garrett. This is my family." Carlisle introduced me to everyone. "This is my mate and wife Esme. These are Bella and Edward and you already met Rosalie and Emmett. And last but not least, Renesmee."
"So she is the reason why I came here?" I asked.
"Yes." Edward spoke up. "I know what you are thinking but please keep an open mind. She can show you."
At this point the other witnesses walked in the room when they heard us talking.
I nodded at Edward and sat down. Edward and Bella then brought Renesmee to me. She placed her small hand on my cheek and when she showed me, my red eyes widened.
It was true. Every word what the Cullens have told.
When Renesmee was done I stood up from the chair while more and more people started to walk in the room.
"I think everyone is here." Edward said while looking around.
"No. One is missing." Carlisle said. And at the same second when he said that the sound of footsteps came from the balcony. The class doors opened and inside walked a woman.
"This is Eve. You haven't met yet." Carlisle introduced her to me.
When my eyes landed on her my eyes widened ever so slightly and I gulped.
There next to the balcony doors stood a woman. She had long black hair that reached on the middle of her back, red eyes, luscious lips, fair skin. She was wearing high waisted black dress pants, a white top and black long jean jacket over it.
When she stepped inside the room the sweet smell was almost overwhelmingly strong. It came from her. And when our eyes met; I understood why.
"Hello." Eve spoke.
"Pleasure." I answered shortly and nodded.
(Third person's POV)
Eve looked at the man in front of her. His brown hair that almost reached to his shoulders, his neatly shaven beard and mustache, thick dark eyebrows, strong jawline, red eyes and the way he dressed. She couldn't help but stare. He was incredibly handsome.
The two snapped out of the trance they were in and looked away from each other. Or at least Eve did. Garrett couldn't help but steal a few glances.
~
Everyone saw the look the two gave to each other. It didn't go unnoticed by anyone.
The two just found each other. They are mates.
