Olivia Strong Anderson was born just the Sunday after the last episode of the season. She was a beautiful baby girl, who looked exactly like her mother. Cecily had gone into labor just an hour before the show went live, and gave birth sometime after the afterparty, already in the morning. Kate, Aidy and I went down immediately to see her and to see Cecily, even if some of us were a little bit tipsy, and brought with us all kinds of gifts for her.

«Hey, can we come in?» we politely asked, popping with our heads in the room.
«Yeah of course!»

Cecily was holding Olivia in her arms, as Jack stared at them, completely in love with the both of them.

«Alright Liv, meet your aunties and your godmother» our friends smiled, handing me the baby.
«Are you sure?»
«You can hold a baby, can't you?»

I nodded and took her in my arms, worried about hurting her with a only one touch.

«How was it?» Aidy asked, giving Cecily a kiss on the forehead.
«Hard, but it didn't take as long as we thought it would.»
«That's good.»

Kate was looking at the baby, too. She was making weird faces, trying to impress her and failing.

«You'd look good as a mom» she smiled.
«Thanks. You, too.»
«I know, you've been telling this repeatedly since before we got engaged.»

Not realizing where we were and who was around us, I had spilt our beautiful secret.

«You guys are engaged!?» Cecily exclaimed. «Since when!? How come we didn't know anything?»

Kate looked over at me, asking for my permission to tell them everything, and as I nodded she started explaining.

«We got engaged when we went down to San Francisco and got married in Vegas a few days later.»
«YOU'RE MARRIED!?» Cecily exclaimed again.

Jack congratulated us and then took the baby, so that I could hug my friends, who were literally freaking out because of the news.

«Who asked who?»
«We did at the same time. It wasn't really planned, to be honest, but it felt like the right thing to do. We didn't say anything because we're already planning on actually having a normal ceremony, so it was no use.»
«You dirty whores...» Aidy sighed, trying to act annoyed.
«You could have told us» Cecily added, taking back Olivia to breastfeed her.
«Sorry» I smiled. «You know now, so everything's good, right?»
«Fuck off.»

Saturday Night Live was over once again, and we still needed to tell everyone in Kate's family that we had gotten married. To do that, we drove to Long Island, to have a get together, since I hadn't met some of her family members yet.

«Alright everyone, kindly lower your voices please» Kate raised her voice, when everyone we were expecting showed up. «As you may have noticed, there is someone new here. This is Brooklyn, and she is my wife.»

The room first went completely quiet, as everyone was too stunned to speak, then it exploded in chatter and confusion. The first ones to come up to us were her mother and sister, who hugged her and then turned to me with the biggest smile and the brightest eyes.

«Welcome to the family, dear» Laura smiled, putting her hand on the back of my head. «We're delighted to have you here with us.»
«Thanks.»

Emily was a little bit excited, and she immediately hugged me and jumped up and down with me.

«Damn we're sisters now! I called it two years ago, when you came down here the first time.»
«A lot has changed between now and then, but you were right.»
«I can't believe that someone actually decided to marry her. I thought she would stay single forever.»
«And thank you for that» Kate rolled her eyes, pushing her away.

Other relatives stopped by to congratulate us and meet me, which they hadn't before, so I had to use every little bit of patience in my body to keep up with them. They weren't many, but they were really intense, exactly how I would have expected from Kate's family.

«Alright babe, I'll go upstairs. I need to rest a little» I excused myself after all the chaos.
«You sure you're okay?»
«Yeah, just a little bit tired.»
«I'll be there in a second.»

While I was putting on my pj's, I called André and Amara to see how they were doing, then actually went to bed. I closed my eyes, but didn't fall asleep until Kate's arms wrapped around my body.

«Goodnight» I yawned.
«Night. I love you.»
«Love you, too.»

I fell asleep peacefully, as she stroked my hair and listened to some music on her phone. It was beautiful. I couldn't have been happier. Everything was right, everything felt as it was supposed to be. I was happy, there with Kate, and I would've spent the rest of my life with her, despite our diversities. We loved each other, and that was all that mattered. I wanted to be with her, she wanted to be with me.

In that chaos all around us, our lives intertwined, and somehow we ended up together. We could have called it destiny, fate, but that didn't matter. It was us. The magic was in us. Despite all the obstacles, we wanted each other, and no one could ever break us apart.
