I Made Him a Promise

I can't believe this!!  Amy mumbled to herself.
Her Grandfather told her riding a city bus to Calgary General Hospital was not a good idea!!
But she kept after him all night, wearing him down until he finally said ok.  It's how Amy operated when she got an idea in her head.
She missed Ty, and nothing was going to keep her from him.......

Jack was busy helping Stumpy replace some rotting Timbers in his barn, Celeb was on his way to a Rodeo in Nelson Lake, and Lou was in Denver at a conference.   Amy had even thought of taking Ty's truck; how hard could it be driving 50 miles anyways.  But there was Ty's stick shift which seemed pretty formidable, and of course Amy didn't have a drivers license.......or much driving experience.

So she hitched a ride from Scott into Hudson, got on the 6:05 pm bus into Calgary. At the main Calgary bus station, her transfer to bus 155 at 7:26 which had a stop at Calgary General had been cancelled due to a mechanical issue.
So she took the 7:35 bus to the airport & planned on getting off on Broadway street and walking almost 4 miles to the hospital.

But now it was pouring rain and Cowboy Trail was at a standstill due to a 7 car pile up crash, and street flooding had begun.

Amy looked at her map & pulled the stop request cable & jumped off the bus on
Stock Show Ave in the pouring rain and made a mad dash across a pedestrian bridge, then ran through the massive & deserted Stock Show grounds to Eaten Street.  She crossed at the light and kept running.  Only 5.2 miles left......

Amy was soaked wet as a fish & her backpack full of clean clothes for Ty, an envelope for Ty from Grandpa, her school books, her own clean clothes, and cosmetic bag was was getting wet too. Her wet bra was agitating her, and her tennis shoes were like sponges.
Plus she was hungry and quickly becoming grumpy.

And she ran........into the unrelenting rain and impending darkness. 
She stopped at a McDonalds to use the bathroom and snarfed down a hot cheeseburger, and coffee, then stepped out into the storm again.
30 minutes later, Amy was 2 miles away from the hospital & turned left onto Ontario Blvd and ran south into a cold biting wind.  After 10 minutes, Amy yelled into the storm.......'I love Ty Borden'!! 

The storm ignored her, but Amy stopped next to a closed jewelry store and wondered what it meant....... Her heart seemed responsible for that unexpected outburst of love.  She stared at pair of pretty earrings and wondered if some day Ty might buy her earrings.

Amy watched water droplets drip from her nose and smiled.  I do love Ty Borden she yelled out and charged off into the rain.

She was in great shape for a 16 year old girl, running kept her warm and filled her emotions with happy endorphins.  Amy remembered sleeping with Ty 2 nights ago.  He still kept the towel between them & Amy had a pretty good Idea what Ty was packing if that towel wasn't there.  But she wasn't ready for sex; she remembered her mother's words just a few years ago on the subject.........

'Amy, be careful who you're intimate with, once you open that door, it cannot be closed.  And you're going to need emotions you don't yet have, to walk through that door.  Wait until you find a man who puts you first in his heart. And make him wait until you're ready to be with him.
If he can't wait, he's a piece of trash'.

But Amy had woken at 2:30 am and felt Ty's arm draped across her chest, and his hand on her breasts.  Is that something a man does automatically in his sleep or did Ty reach out purposely and pull her close??
She would never know, but Amy smiled.....she enjoyed the sensation of Ty's hand holding her softness.  She thought about saying something to him, but that would just make him feel bad. And make him think she didn't enjoy it.
Amy enjoyed it a lot!!
