CHAPTER 9

“Kuya, where's Yven. He's not in—” I stopped talking when I saw Yven With his uncle Ian. They're already in the shore. They're silently watching at us. We are still in the ship.

Kakarating lang namin sa Denfir Empire. After four days of sailing we finally here. Four days with them is no that bad. Yven was already closed to them. He even called them Uncle.

Also my two cousin ordered me to call them Kuya. Yes, they ordered me. I don't have plan to call them like that because they have a higher position. 

I don't know where part of this place in the Empire. I can see the buildings and houses made from wood and bricks not so far from us. May lima ring royal carriage na naghihintay sa amin sa taas. May mga knights na lumapit kina Vernon at Ian.

Nahuli kasi ako dahil hinanap ko si Yven, tapos nauna lang pala. Hinihintay rin ako ni Grey para sabay na kami pababa. Dumating kami nang hapon kaya maraming taong nasa paligid. Hindi lang makalapit dahil sa mga knights.

Also, Sir Sirius and Sir Ryker is here. I met them inside the ship four days ago. Silang dalawa ang palaging kasama ni Yven kapag gusto nitong pumunta sa taas o maglibot sa barko.

All the knights were wearing a armor and blue cape on top of it. I think they're the members of Crimson Phoenix Order that my brother is handling. 

Pinasuot nila kami ng cloak ni Yven para hindi kami makilala ng mga tao. Lalo na't matagal na akong nawala at alam ng mga mamayan ng Denfir ay patay na ang nag-iisang anak ng Hartlay March. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa alam ng mga magulang ni Elowen ang pagbabalik ko.

Wala akong masyadong alam sa kanila. But based on Elowen's memories. They have a good relationship. They treated Elowen like a princess dahil ito lang ang anak nilang babae. Kaya kahit anong gusto ni Elowen ay ibinibigay nila.

May mga knights pang naghihintay sa amin sa baba. Pagbaba namin ni Grey ay sinundan namin sila. May mga knights din na nakapaligid sa amin. Maybe, Grey is famous here because he's the captain of the Crimson Phoenix Order.

Sumakay kami sa carriage na sinakyan ni Ian at Vernon. Kasama na nila sa loob si Yven. The carriage is looked fancy too. It's color white at ang wheel nito ay kulay gold. It's also had the emblem of the royal family. Even the couches are so soft and bounce.

“I sent a message to Mom and Dad to go to the Emperial Castle. I didn't tell them about you. For sure, they'll cry after seeing you. After 10 years, we finally found you.” Napangiti ako sa sinabi ni Grey. I felt exited meeting them.

Yven was looking outside the window. Ginaya ko rin siya. Nakalabas na kami sa loob ng city kaya walang makakikita sa amin. Namamangha ako sa aking nakikita.

Mga punong ngayon ko lang nakita. Dumaan din kami sa isang bridge which was kind of scary. The sky is so clear. Napakunot-noo ako nang bigla akong makaramdam ng kaba. My heart is pounding. Tiningnan ko ang mga puno sa labas.

I felt something force coming in our way. Tumingin ako sa tatlo. Madilim ang mga mukha nila. Palapit ito ng palapit. I can hear the sound of the air. My body suddenly move, out of my control.

I hugged Yven tightly at yumuko ako kasama siya. The glass window shattered. Napatulala ako nang may tumama sa tabi ko na pana. Muntik na...

“Damn!”

“Shit!”

“Floriana!”

Lumabas kaagad si Ian at Grey. Naiwan kami sa loob kasama si Vernon na madilim ang mukha. Mukhang may bumabagabag sa kanya. Tinulungan kami nitong tumayo ni Yven.
