"Where are we?" Orion was the first to ask the question that was on all of their minds.

They'd come out of the veil into complete darkness and Oryn had just used magic to light up the space so they could see.

"It looks like a cave or cavern, but I don't see any light that would indicate an exit anywhere nearby. Not to sound like the claustrophobic pessimist here but we may be trapped." Avi stared at the stone walls that were barely lit by Oryn's 'stars' and tried to keep himself from panicking. "On the plus side, I'm still breathing so there must be a crack or two somewhere."

Mitch had stopped listening. He simply handed Sora's body over to Oryn and was already walking around the rather large space, his hand trailing along stone as he searched for a way out. His heart was already giddy at the thought of being wrapped up in his love's arms again but he still had to find a way to get to him first.

Avi dug through the pack he was surprised had made it through everything. The bag itself was ripped in a few places, one of the straps had been torn by a claw or two and his ipad had taken a fatal blow at some point and been left behind to ease the weight he was carrying. Luckily his phone had come out on the other side completely unscathed and he turned it on hoping by some miracle that they would have cell service wherever they were, but no such luck. Instead he decided to try and use the light to see if there were any passages out of the giant cavern. He winced as he stretched out his injured shoulder by accident and switched the phone to the other hand.

"How do we know we are even in the human world and not in some hell dimension." Orion stared at the human among them as he spoke, his eyes appearing as black marbles in the dim lighting. Avi was so used to his scrutiny that he didn't even bother rolling his eyes.

"Because I feel him," Mitch whispered as he paused at a space on the wall. "We are in his world and this... is our way out."

"Will you hold Sora?" Oryn's golden eyes looked into Avi's, a few tears still clinging to her lashes.

"Of course." He felt a stab of regret as the young dragon was passed into his arms. Could he have done something to save him? Could he have done more?

He was pulled from his dark thoughts as the three magical beings began to discuss a plan. Oryn and Orion spread to opposite ends of the space with Mitchell standing before the wall. Blue tendrils of magic began to slide up the stone and slowly the barrier began to dissolve giving way to bright light that none of them were quite ready for. As the hole began to grow bits of rock began to crumble from above . Orion and Oryn worked perfectly in sync to reinforce it.

Once Avi's eyes adjusted he could see what looked like sand beyond. "Avriel, you go first." Mitch didn't even look at him, just kept his eyes ahead on the task at hand.

The human carried the dragon through the short, narrow tunnel and soon MItchell followed behind. They could hear a brief disagreement between the siblings as to who would go first, but Oryn was the next to make her way through and soon after Orion followed. Not 5 seconds after he was clear the rocks caved in and the veil was closed off again, just the way it should be.

"Do you know this place?"

Avi shook his head in reply to Mitchell's question and just stared out at the gorgeous blue green ocean. "Earth is somewhere around 60 or 70% water. We could literally be almost anywhere."

Despite not knowing their location, he couldn't help but smile as Oryn and Orion wandered around curiously, just taking in the scenery much as he had when he'd first stepped into their world. Oryn dipped her fingers in the sand and let it fall back down between them, her head tilted as she watched the grains fall.
