Oryn smiled to herself as she flicked the light switch off again. She knew it probably shouldn't amuse her as much as it did, but she could feel the buzz in the room every time the lights came back on.
"You are going to wake him if you continue." Mitchell directed an amused look her way.
She flipped the switch again to turn the dim lights back on and sheepishly sat on the bed next to Mitchell, eyes focusing in on the sleeping man in the other bed. Her wonderful Avriel. He'd taken charge with such ease and when they'd happened upon what he called 'a resort' he'd lit up with a brilliant smile, a blatant display of relief that made her realize just how much worry and stress he had been carrying around.
Things had been a bit of a rollercoaster after that. The beings in the place known as "Phillippines' looked so different than her Avriel and Mitchell's Scott that she wondered if they were even human at all. Perhaps they were a different species. She wanted to ask, but Avriel had instructed them to let him do all of the talking and he was doing quite a bit of talking. She deduced that the Philippines creatures were not human as they had a bit of trouble communicating until another of the Philippines came over to help translate. In the end, she decided that she liked them. They seemed kind even if they did look at her strangely.
The building they entered was a strange one, very linear, colorful and full of empty spaces. She wanted to explore, but Mitchell put an arm around her shoulders to lead her away. There were so many things to look at that she could barely keep up. Maybe the Philippines did have magic and they weren't quite as different from fae as she'd assumed.
She nearly pressed all of the buttons in the 'elevator' she was led inside of but Avriel had stopped her as the doors closed them in. Neither her nor Orion were prepared for the room to move and she ended up clinging to her amused love as he stroked the back of her hair.
Once the doors opened she realized that 'elevator' was a transporter and they'd ended up in another place entirely. There were doors and lots of numbers, but a strong arm kept her from lingering and soon they were in a safe place where they could rest.
Avriel had immediately made for the 'shower', but she thought the water smelled funny and couldn't see the advantage of it. Magic cleaned her just fine.
In the short time that Avriel was shut up inside the 'bathroom', the fae had nearly torn the room apart. Mitchell just barely managed to save the 'TV' when she'd sat on the box that made it yell, but he wasn't fast enough to save the screaming box with numbers on it before Orion had destroyed it. Mitchell had called it a clock, but that didn't make it any less evil and she was glad that clock was dead.
Her human love had been disappointed when he saw the carnage but still he managed to laugh and tell them it was alright. He'd disappeared again shortly after that to go 'shopping' for new clothes for the group but not before giving Mitchell his phone and connecting it to the 'wifi' which must have been the communication magic he'd talked about before. She was glad that Mitchell knew how to use the device and when Scott's name appeared on the screen Mitchell was able to see Scott's face with a swipe of his finger. She tried to show Orion the wonderful magic that was 'wifi' but he disappeared out onto the balcony to keep watch. It was his loss. It was wonderful seeing Sarah again, and the little pudgey was so excited to see Mitchell that she knocked what Scott called a 'lap top' off of his bed.
Avriel soon returned with new clothing for them and it was strange wearing the loose clothing he'd called a 'tank and shorts' but if it was what he wanted then she would wear it. Orion looked silly in his 'sweats and tee' and she had told him so with many giggles. He was not amused and disappeared back outside to keep watch. While they changed clothes Avriel had spoken with Scott and discussed food options. She watched him pick up a strangely shaped object and spoke to it demanding it bring them 'cheese and pizza and water.' He'd laughed when she picked it up after he was done and spoke to it but all it did was whine at her. Philippines was full of noises.
