On their flight home, Giyuu was quick to fall asleep before everybody else after that chaotic morning. Shinobu was preparing to lay down in her Business-class sky bed, when she noticed a flyer in Giyuu's bag.

The only part she could see was "NEW YORK" in a great big font.

'No...I shouldn't take it without asking him. That's invading privacy.'

Out of curiosity, she took it.

"NEW YORK AUDITIONS, MARVEL STUDIOS"

"Our casting team has seen your work as an actor, and want you in our next movie! Please come audition for us on xx-xx-xx!"

Shinobu's face was horrified, knowing that she should be happy for him. She wanted him to have this opportunity, she wanted him to know New York. But she didn't want him to leave.

Was he really going to take it?

She wanted him to. And she wasn't going to hold him back from doing so.

December rolled around, and so did Christmas. In Japan, Christmas was celebrated with friends and couples. Family celebrated together as well, but mostly to attend Temples. Giyuu's manager wanted him to leave in November, but Giyuu managed to stretch it out till New Years.

Giyuu didn't really have any friends, or so he thought.

"Merry Christmas Tomioka-san!" Shinobu greeted Giyuu at his front door with a bundle of people behind her. She welcomed herself in like she in their with a bucket of KFC fried chicken in her hands.

Which she kinda did, considering the amount of nights she spent there. They were at each other's houses at least once a week. If not more.

They ate together, laughed, and had a cheerful celebration.

"Okay, okay so we all agree for New Years we're going to see fireworks together?" Shinobu was cheerful.

"Of course!" Mitsuri clanked her glass of beer to Shinobu's, as everybody else agreed.

"3...2...1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" The crowd cheered as fireworks exploded above the Shrine.

Giyuu stayed quiet, he held a traditional umbrella over him and Shinobu's head. Reminding him of the time in college, and when they went to the concert together. They were both dressed in lovely kimonos.

"Oh my gosh! Is that Koyuki-san?! Koyuki-san!" Shinobu called out, recognized a familiar face.

"Ahh! Shinobu-san! I haven't seen you in ages!" The young girl ran towards her friend she hasn't seen in awhile. Her fiancé followed.

She introduced Giyuu, "Tomioka-san, this is my friend Koyuki, we went to high school together! What are you doing in Tokyo?" She asked her.

"After moving to Kyoto, I started missing the vivid fireworks and city-life. We're here for a 2 week stay."

"Gosh it's been so long! I'm glad to see you and Hakuji-san are doing well." She chuckled. "Oh I also forgot Tomioka-san, this is Hakuji-"

"We've met." Hakuji gave him that bromance hug.

"Oh, how did you guys-?" Shinobu looked confused.

Hakuji smiled, "College roommates. Good times. Also, me and Koyuki are actually getting married. You guys should come." He handed them one invitation, assuming they were a couple.

"Koyuki-san! Married?? This is amazing news! We'll gladly attend!" Shinobu excitedly jumped.

"Well actually-" Giyuu tried to decline because of his casting thing.

"We should get going, it was nice seeing you both!" Koyuki waved goodbye as she walked off.
