The venue was simple, but still beautiful. Hakuji and Koyuki preferred a small event, rather than what Shinobu and Giyuu were used too.

Giyuu hadn't told Shinobu he was attending, or anyone in fact. He hasn't been in Japan for 6 months. He was homesick.

After the ceremony, Shinobu spotted him first in the party crowd. She dropped her wine glass, shattering shards everywhere on the floor.

She ran towards him, and had to hold herself back from slapping the shit out of him. "Giyuu! Why didn't you tell me you were coming home for the wedding! You're so-"

"Drop the angry act Kocho. I missed you. And I know you missed me too."

She brushed his arm, "...Then, let's get out of here."

How could he say no to that?

They ended up getting ice cream at a small shop, sitting at an outdoor table together. Sharing one ice cream.

Awkward tension built up as they hadn't seen each other in person in 6 months, there was so much to say but they didn't know how to start.

"I fired Mitzy." Shinobu said in a serious tone.

"What? Why?" He asked curiously. She was the only stylist that didn't make his long hair frizzy.

She laughed, "I'm kidding."

"Never understood why you disliked her so much."

"How's the movie going?" She took a spoon of ice cream and licked it off.

"Filming is good, I just don't like my co-stars." He complained.

The butterfly replied teasingly, "I'm sure they don't like you either. Why don't you though? Americans have some of the best movies."

He ignored her remark, "They're all so shallow. If not boring. I've never been so bored in my life working with them. They're just rich and nothing special."

"You're one to talk." She leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms. "It's not like you're that entertaining. Maybe you're so used to having me and my entertainingness around everybody else seems dull."

She wasn't wrong. But Giyuu stayed quiet and didn't admit it.

"Douma reached out to me again recently."

"What?" His eyes lit up immediately, like he was ready to fight somebody.

"Kidding, again. Your reactions are priceless. Anyways," She licked the glass of ice cream clean. "It's been 6 months, are we doing this or what?" Shinobu stood up, and brushed off her dress.

"That's the only thing from you I'd never say no to."

~~~
He woke up in Shinobu's bedsheets, holding no regrets. That was the best feeling he felt in 6 months.
He shifted his body over to her direction, she was sleeping on her side. Giyuu hovered over her and moved a piece of hair out of her face.
That's when he noticed she was sweating profusely.
He rubbed her forehead, she was burning hot. "Shinobu, wake up." He shook her awake. "You're burning up, Shinobu.."
She woke up and turned to lie flat on her back. "Huh?" Her voice was raspy, with a dazed out face.
"You're burning up Shinobu, I think you caught a fever." He continued to pat his hand around her face.
She coughed, "No I'm not sick. I feel fine."
"I don't believe that." He slipped on some clothes, and headed downstairs. Shinobu put on a silk pajama set before going back to rotting in bed.
20 minutes later, he walked back upstairs with a tray. "I've never cooked anything before- But I made miso soup." He shyly placed the tray over her lap.
Giyuu grew up with a private chef and nanny, and once he was older he always ate out or just skipped over food because of his busy work schedule.
She took a sip, "It's good."
He was relieved, even if she was lying. "The recipe is my sister's. She cooks for her kids." He took a good look at her face, recognizing the alarming dark circles under her eyes. "Have you been sleeping enough?"
"The most I can get a night is 4 hours."
"You need at least 7 to function properly. Stop stressing about work all the time, it's killing you. Stop skipping meals also, you were the one who told me that first. Take your own advice." He lectured, the tables have turned.
"This isn't probably how you expected your visit to go." She sighed.
"I never complained."
