a/n: yes the song in this chapter is still into you by paramore, just pretend giyuu and sabito wrote it 😭
Shinobu sat down next to Giyuu in their V.I.P scenes. Very awkwardly. The encounter this morning quite embarrassing for both of them. Although they both knew how successful Makomo & Sabito were, they did not expect such a huge crowd.
No seat was empty, fans cheered and knew the lyrics to every song.
Giyuu felt proud of his best friends, how far they've come. He couldn't help but smile a bit. Shinobu took this into account, and thought it was quite adorable.
They got through their tour's set list, with surprise songs in between. The night was about to end, but Sabito had one last song he wanted to play. That Makomo was unaware of.
Giyuu knew. The only person that knew. Tonight was the confession night.
The peach-haired boy walked up the microphone, and Makomo give him the what-the-hell-are-you-doing look. "I have one last song I'd like to sing tonight. I wrote it, you all loved it. With the help of my best friend, Giyuu. He's in the crowd somewhere!" Fans cheered.
"Makomo doesn't know about this, but this song is dedicated to her. So, Tokyo, I want you to be your best audience for this final song!"
He strummed his electric guitar, as the background music started The band followed. Sabito was ready to sing.
"Can't count the years on one hand
That we've been together
I need the other one to hold you
Make you feel, make you feel betterIt's not a walk in the park
To love each other
But when our fingers interlock,
Can't deny, can't deny you're worth it
'Cause after all this time I'm still into you"Makomo felt speechless, her heart was racing of joy.
Shinobu knew this song, I mean everybody did. It was one of their hits. No fans knew who the song was about though, but now it's very clear. She turned over to Giyuu, who was immersed in the moment.
"You helped write this song?!?"
"Yeah."
"It's amazing! I love it!" She yelled over the noise.
After every verse passed, the butterfly couldn't help but sing along. As she did, she turned to Giyuu. Like the song lyrics were dedicated to him in the moment. Then, came the bridge.
"Recount the night that
I first met your mother
And on the drive back to my house
I told you that, I told you that I loved yaYou felt the weight of the world
Fall off your shoulder
And to your favorite song
We sang along to the start of forever
And after all this time I'm still into youI should be over all the butterflies
But I'm into you (I'm into you)
And baby even on our worst nights
I'm into you (I'm into you)
Let 'em wonder how we got this far
'Cause I don't really need to wonder at all
Yeah, after all this time I'm still into you"Giyuu looked over to Shinobu, who was singing and cheering her heart out like a teenage-girl. For a moment there, it's like the world was in slow motion. Her violet eyes glistened as the colorful lights of the concert washed onto her. He was mesmerized by her presence.
Shinobu looked back at the black haired man. Beaming genuinely, singing as the last lyric of the song came up. He calmly sang along.
It was like both of them had forgotten every bad encounter with each other, and just lived for once.
"Yeah, after all this time, I'm still into you
I'm still into you
I'm still into you"The crowd went wild, but the music and noise around them just straight up stopped as they stared into each others eyes.

After the concert, Giyuu walked Shinobu to her car. Having a decent conversation, and Shinobu was just in awe of it. She couldn't believe that Giyuu had a little bit of songwriter in him.
"That was amazing! How'd you learn to song write?"
"Well, when I was younger and still taking piano lessons, my teacher also had a kick for lyrical music. She taught me some things upon my request, those were some of my favorite days." He spoke passionately. "I just co-wrote Still Into You though, Sabito deserves most of the credit. It's his confession song anyway."
"And you never thought to pursue music?"
"I don't really think I'd want to do what Sabito does. But I really wanted to be a pianist. My parents just made me a child-star, and so I'm kinda stuck here now."
"Tomioka-san! You have talent! Why don't you try again at piano? You're an adult. You can make decisions." The girl pestered.
"I don't know. I don't think I'd make it as a pianist. I just stick to what I'm familiar with." Giyuu clutched his pocket holding a pack of cigarettes.
"You never know if you never try. Plus, I think you'd make it as a pianist."
Reaching Shinobu's car, as she was about to open the door he pulled her closer.
And kissed her.
