Chapter 10

Roxy's POV

Roxy swerved the SUV into the driveway and stopped at the garage door. She waited for the garage door to open and sped the vehicle into the parking spot. She pressed the button to close the garage.

"Well fuck", Amanda said and they all burst out laughing.

"Roxy kudos on giving that bitch the business", Kylie said as they hopped out of the car.

"It was nothing", Roxy said rolling her eyes and playfully waving her hands causing Amanda and Kylie to laugh again.

"But in all honesty, anything for Francesca", Roxy said opening the door with her key. "I just wished I hadn't hit Anisha though. Now she is going to think that insults and racial slurs get to me and will use that to her advantage. I know she is plotting something, I just don't know how to be smarter than her. I just got here!"

"We need the mavericks of all mavericks in strategy when it comes to this", Amanda said.

Roxy knew she was speaking of Francesca Castellanos.

"Man Francesca is occupied these days with Calum", Kylie said.

They all took off their shoes and headed to the living room. Francesca's mom and dad were at a business meeting, so they had the house to themselves for a few hours.

"About the Calum kid", Roxy said. "Do you guys think he's good for her?"

"Roxy he's harmless", Kylie assured her.

"I know, but that doesn't mean that he's her match", Roxy said sitting indian style on the couch and cuddling a pillow.

Amanda shrugged and said, "Lets just wait and see. Francesca seems to like him and that is what matters. No biggie. The most interesting relationship though is the one you have with Luke, Roxy."

Roxy shook her head, her bangs swinging from side to side. "Naw. I have to play it safe with him. He comes with too much baggage."

"True that", Amanda said grabbing her iPad off the table. "Lets see what we can find out about Mr. Luke Hemmings."

Amanda connected her iPad to the smart TV sitting in the living room and her iPad screen showed up on the TV. Roxy and Kylie watched as she typed in Luke Hemmings into the google search page.

"Hmm lets check out Facebook", she said clicking on the image.

An old bald guy with grandpa glasses showed up on the screen and they all laughed.

"Well that's not him", Kylie said. "Try that one."

Amanda clicked on the page. Roxy smiled as Luke's pretty white smile showed up on the screen. His Facebook page was not set to private.

"What a cutie", Kylie said dreamily. "Whoa! Look at his relationship status!"

Roxy leaned forward to see that he his status had been updated an hour ago to "single".

"Wait....Do you think he broke with up Anisha?", Amanda asked looking at Roxy. "Because if he did, this definitely means that he likes you!"

Roxy's heartbeat quickened and butterflies returned to her stomach.

She shook her head and looked down at her lap.

"What don't you like about him Rox?", Amanda asked. "He has gorgeous blue eyes, silky dirty blonde hair, the cutest bangs that I have ever seen on a guy, and that John Travolta dimpled chin, with those cute long dimples in his cheeks. Like seriously, this kid was made in a lab because he's too perfect."
