とりのゆうき- The bird's courage:
Golden rays shining beautifully,
soft viridian leaves swaying,
a cooling spring breeze blowing gently,
silver clouds drifting softly by
Within a tall tree,
new lives have been born,
each with a pair of small wings,
each with their own song
As time went on,
these small birds grew bigger,
gaining the courage to leave the nest,
gaining the courage to fly,
but for one,
this was not the case
For this bird,
although it had wings as strong as it's brethren,
it did not soar into the sky,
it did not leave the nest
It feared what would happen,
it feared what could go wrong,
it didn't know if it had the strength,
it didn't know it had the bravery
These thoughts plagued the little bird,
until one day,
after seeing so many birds soar,
it decided to take the leap,
it decided to spread it's wings and fly
The bird was scared at first,
worried what could go wrong,
but when it started to soar,
all that went away
When the bird spread its wings and flew,
it slowly gained more courage,
all of its previous fears vanishing into the air,
As it started to glide on the wind
In the end
although it took courage,
the bird soared as high as its friends,
and even soared higher,
In the end,
the bird was glad it took that leap of faith,
in the end,
it was thankful for the courage it had gained
