Zoom in, zoom out, snap, move on,
from one thing to the next,
from a cerulean butterfly to an amethyst flower,
seeing and living life,
through a camera lens.
Through the lens, things can be seen,
things that would normally be minor,
overlooked, hidden,
can be seen through the camera lens.
The lush soft green grass growing,
the tall, evergreen trees swaying,
the birds chirping their everlasting song,
flowers showing their exquisite petals
Zoom in, zoom out, snap, move on,
in a way, the art of photography,
could be compared to, or contrasted to another art form,
the art of poetry,
Zoom in, zoom out, move on,
directing the reader to different words, places, people, things,
allowing them to imagine, immerse themselves,
in the words and phrases
that have been eloquently strung together
Each stanza could be like a photo,
giving a snapshot of time,
before moving on to another,
guiding the reader through a journey
The two art forms can go hand in hand,
supporting each other, inspiring each other,
as anyone and everyone can view them,
spreading the art far and wide.
