TW: Suggestive content at the end of poem

Crimson petals fall from the tree,
As if it were mourning a loss,
The petals adorning the ground, creating a beautiful yet gruesome image
A figure lays below
Seemingly deceased, but very much alive
As they wait for the one they have lost

He disappeared without a trace,
Leaving no note, no message no nothing
Not even stating where he was headed
You woke up one day, and he was gone

You lay under this tree,
As this was the last place you both had spent time together, enjoyed each other,
Talked about your future together
The seclusion of the area was to your advantage,
For this was a place only he and you knew

You knew due to his condition,
He could be frail, weak, unable to handle himself
Yet he could be strong, preserving until the end,
All so he could come back to you

You were his light to the darkness,
The singular rose in a decaying field,
The sun, to his moon
He treasured you, and you treasured him

Footsteps brought you out of your thoughts of him,
Causing to tears well in your usual sparkling eyes,
But you would not cry, you had to stay strong,
For him.

Turning your head to the source of the footsteps,
Your vision blurry, you saw a figure
One that resembled the one you desperately wanted to see

You rub your eyes, the water from the tears staining your hand,
In order to clear your vision, to get a better look,
To clear your suspicions and the longing in your heart

A man stood before you, clad in his usual attire,
Hair groomed perfectly, eyes shining as bright as ever
He was the one, the one who left, without a trace
He had returned to you

He made his way over,
Laying next to you once you were within reach,
Cupping your cheek ever so gently,
Despite his desires within
Connecting your lips in a loving kiss

Your tears returned,
Although not containing sadness,
But containing your happiness,
Happy you had your love, the one who completed you, the one who you treasured most,
Returned to you safe and alive, as the crimson petals continued to fall,
Creating a beautiful, yet romantic scene.

As you both gave in to the sinful desires,
The desires that had built up, tormenting you both,
Finally being released, among the crimson petals
The petals symbolizing the lust and desire you both had
For you had to cry no longer, as he had returned
