It has been a week since I've cooked for Gio and a day didn't passed that he haven't boasted about it.

He could be calling any minute now but I would ignore it as my arms are a little full with Kyng's luggages.

"Àaynna go happy fih see yuh." I teased him, buttering him up as the smile widens on his face.

"I'm overjoyed with the thought of seeing her too. Can I buy those little cakes she loves so much?" He's been asking.

"Way ahead of yuh, mih bwoy. Uncle Clarence a bring it since mih did a hide it from yuh." His grin widens.

"Thanks mommy. I love you."

"Mih love yuh more, Thiele." I said it seriously and he nods. "Yuh naw seh wah yuh use tu?"

"No, because I know you really loves me and you don't just say it without meaning it. You show it all the time."

That puts a smile on my face as I reached down and kisses his head.

"Stop kiss up dih man, Dainty!" Uncle hisses from his car.

"Den a who fih dweet?" I laughed.

"Dih girl him a guh look fah." He says a I laughed for the better.

Kyng has been announcing to our family and friends that he was going to see Àaynna and everyone knew who she was from all the talks he made about her.

I see him off to go spend his summer holiday,  knowing that he is bound to see his father. Knowing my son, he could pretend someone doesn't exist even when they are acknowledging him, he can be really stubborn like I am and also petty.

I returned home to shower and get dressed as I had something planned.

I had told aunty where I was going so she doesn't worry much.

With seven large grocrery bags an hour later, I saw a familiar voxy pulling up from where I'm standing, in Hopewell Square.

Gio steps out grinning.

"Suh this a the reason yah ignore mih?" He realizes.

It really wasn't but I used this as pass.

"Yeah." I answered, passing him to get seated in the air conditioned vehicle while he puts the bags in the truck.

It's when he got in he asked the question I was suspecting.

"A the money mih pay yuh last time yuh spend buy groceries?"

"Yeah and fare from mih yaad, as well as break. Mih did affi buss a snack and drink a coconut water." I grinned.

More than dat mih buy nyam and drink still.

"Yuh nuh easy enuh." He shook his head laughing. "Yuh looking nice."

"Thanks."

If it was the clothes he is talking, then the dress was nothing but simple and cute.

My weight on the other hand is improving. I've been gifted some dietary supplements from Zuri and I never failed at collecting all that left over from aunt's cook shop to eat like I've never had before.

To make it worst, she introduced me to birth control injection that the clinic provides monthly and that seems to have me like an hormone pumped white fowl. It speeds up the process and I couldn't believe these things actually works though Zuri said it never works for her when she tries. She just sticks to the supplements.

We chatted all the way to his house where I left him to bring the bags in.

I wasn't even suprised to see his friends there.
