As the school days went, Gio and I fell into the same routine as beforethe summer holidays.

I told a white lie that someone took my spot at Aunty's cooks shop to do the main stuff while I was left to deal with cutting and cleaning of the meat produces.

I've found time for both him, Kyng and myself.

Yesterday I went to the dentist as he said I was ready for my braces though it would be on for quite sometimes as my teeth wasn't crooked much.

I wasn't use to the feeling but I damn sure looked pretty.

I went with Lovely this morning and got my nails done.

Now I was seated before Zuri on the veranda as she does goddess braids in my hair. She was almost finished and told me to look in the bag she bought for me.

"But yuh nuh easy." I laughed out.

Boxes of lashes and new makeup products to match my skin tone.

"Think mih a play." She says. "Lock yuh eye mek mih spray dis and set yuh edges."

She did that and wrapped it, moving on to my lashes.

"Why ya turn mih inna dolly, Làzuri?" I laughed after the first went on and I felt the weight difference.

I'm just happy that it's the simple ones to make my lashes look thicker and a bit longer.

"Wait till when yuh boy and yuh man si yuh." It sweets her till something fell from her hand.

"A mih fih tell yuh. Coming to dat, Kían call mih."

"Bout wah?" She glued on the next, looking to make sure it stayed good.

"Truck and suh a pass through fih mek road guh up where mih want the house. Yuh choose yuh spot yet suh wih can mek one thing an done?"

She stood up and looked at me, blinking.

"Wah?" I asked, reaching for the mirror but she slapped my hand away.

"Ya gimmie house spot?"

"Of course." I said.

"If yuh mek mih bawl in yah." She made a face, faking it but I can see actual tears.

"Chill girl." I laughed. "A competition this enuh. Mih nuh wah yuh out do what mih do fih yuh. Mih affi win."

"Gwaan chat. Mih go find sum'n mon." She promised and I believed her.

With everything done and we cleaned up then went to the cook shop.

Zuri only came to do my hair so she was leaving this afternoon to get back to work and with Beast afternoon shift going in town, Zuri called and was waiting on him.

Zuri was lucky to see Kyng's expression at the sight of me. He looked just as suprised as everyone else.

"Wow, mom. You're looking really beautiful." He grins, almost falling on his face as he admires me from head to toe.

"Thanks, but mih neva beautiful before?" I teased and he blushed.

"Of course, but naturally."

"Mih rate yuh, Kyng." Onique laughs from his bar. "Dweet under style."

"Leave mih son alone." I tell him, hugging my boy.

"I can stay with Onique tonight, mom?" He pleads and I raised my brow. "I did my homework after school."

"Have yuh key?" I asked and he nods, grinning while I glared at my older cousin. "Yuh nuh realise seh Kyng a guh tek Tatiana from yuh."

"Him naw lef Àanna." He grins which is true.
