The break up was hard but I had Lottie there to help me and my mom but I find myself missing Seb more than anything. He's home in a couple of days and I've been busy planning a surprise birthday party for him with a whole 1950s theme because of his love of James Dean. I celebrated my own birthday with our moms and Lottie and Titan of course and Seb sent me flowers and a gift of plane tickets to Santorini for the first week of September which is incredible.
It's Chris's job to get Seb to the party venue where we'll all be waiting to surprise him "Dude why is it dark in here" I hear him saying and then the lights turn on and he's sees everyone dressed in their 1950s clothes and he spots me "You did this" he says "Happy belated birthday Sebby" I say hugging him "Come with me" I say taking him by the hand and leading him into a backroom and I hand him a box and he opens it "My very own James Dean jacket" he says "Just like the one he wore in Rebel Without a Cause" I say and he puts it on "This is amazing" he says "Now let's go enjoy your party" I say.
The party is in full swing and everyone is having a great time when Seb takes to the mic "I'm gonna keep this brief because I know we all wanna have fun and get drunk but thank you all for coming I wasn't expecting any of this but I've learned to accept that when it comes to my best friend Ivy who always keeps me on my toes. I made a wish earlier when I blew out the candles and its the same wish I've made since I was six and I'm hoping it might finally come through tonight. Ivy if you'll join me" he says and I'm slightly confused "What are you doing?" I ask "You know me better than anyone and we've been through some tough times together but you've proven how incredible you are everytime. Five years ago I disappeared from your life without any good reason and that reason was because I'm in love with you and have been since we were six years old and the wish I've always made is that I would get to kiss you one day on my birthday we're a couple of days late but what do you say" he says and I look at him "What took you so long" I say and he smiles at me and then he kisses me and it was definitely worth the wait and we ignore the cheers from our friends and just be in the moment together.
We leave for Santorini a week later and I cannot wait even though our flight gets delayed by two hours and we're stuck in the airport "I'm picturing us sitting in a nice restaurant by the water sun setting wine and good food" I say as we're sat in the boarding area waiting for updates "I'm picturing something alot less PG it involves you me and the bed in our hotel" he says "Did you have one room booked the whole time or did you change it after your party" I ask "One room. I was optimistic" he says "Well wait until you see what I packed to wear to bed" I say "Can't wait" he says kissing my forehead.
We're three days into our trip and chilling by the pool when my phone rings with a Facetime from Lottie and Seb takes my phone and answers "We're on vacation go bang Captain America or something" he says "Hello to you too Sebastian put Ivy on please I have news for both of you" she says and he places the phone so we're both in shot "Apologies for my boyfriend he's a bit grouchy today" I say "Lack of sleep who's fault could that be" he says with a smirk "I get it you guys are having lots of sex can we focus on me and my news please" she says "Okay" he says and she holds up her hand and on her ring finger is a beautiful emerald engagement ring "Oh my god" I say "I know he did good right" she says "He definitely did. Congratulations" I say "Thanks and of course you'll be my maid of honor" she says "I'd love to" I say "Chris wanted to be here when we told you both but he had work stuff but Seb he wants you to be his groomsman" she says "Of course. Tell him congrats from me when you see him" he says "I will. We love you guys" she says "We love you too" I say and she hangs up "That's gonna be us someday" he says "I know and I can't wait to be Mrs Sebastian Stan one day" I say "I like the sound of that" he says and kisses me.
The rest of our trip is amazing and exactly what we both needed and we discuss the future and seeing as we both have apartments in the city it makes sense to only keep one so I'm gonna move in with Seb and we'll look for something bigger together whilst we're still on a break from work for a little while. Life is pretty great right now and I'm loving where things are going.
