Chapter Nine

It's bachelorette time and I am getting ready for the night and Seb is also getting ready for Chris's bachelor party. All the bridal party and guests are wearing black whilst the bride wears white so I've gone for an edgy kinda sexy look and I hear a wolf whistle behind me whilst I'm putting on my jewellery and turn and see Seb standing in the doorway of our bedroom "Can we skip tonight and just stay here" he says coming over and wrapping his arm around me and kissing my neck "As maid of honor and the one who spent weeks planning this no I cannot and you can't ditch Chris tonight either I will be here when you get home" I say "You're always right" he says "I'll remember you said that" I say and we go our separate ways.

We're doing a cocktail making class after dinner before we head out for a night of dancing and a final surprise "This is incredible Ivy I've loved everything so far" she says "Just wait until later" I say. We're now in the club and we've been here awhile now and the final surprise is about to arrive "You got me a stripper dressed as Captain America" she says "Yes I did" I say and she enjoys her lapdance and strip show. The guys show up about an hour later to join our party "You missed me that much you had to crash" she says to Chris "Well I heard Captain America was here so I had to come see" he says "Yeah well he didn't compare to the real thing" she says and they kiss and Seb comes over to me and we hit the dancefloor.

We are both extremely hungover the next day so we don't leave the house and order in food and eat crap all day and moments like these are honestly my favourite with Seb.

My mom calls me the next day and asks me to come over so I head over there whilst Seb is away at work meetings "Hey mama" I say and find her in the kitchen "Hi honey. How was the bachelorette party" she says "So much fun absolutely went too hard with the drinking but the hangover was worth it" I say "I'm glad. I wanted to talk to you about something" she says "Okay" I say and we move to the living room and sit down "I found a lump and I went to the doctor and they did a biopsy and it's cancer stage 4. I start chemo next week I'm gonna fight this" she says "We'll fight this you and me" I say pulling her into a hug and we just stay like that for awhile.

I'm back home and I'm still processing everything when Seb comes home "Hey how's your mom" he says and I just start crying and he rushes over "What's wrong" he says "She has cancer and I'm really scared Seb" I say and he pulls me to him "Its gonna be okay I'm here every step of the way" he says "I love you so much" I say "I know" he says and kisses my forehead.

I decide to take a break from work for awhile to focus on my mom but she insists I should still work but I've agreed to only do projects where I can shoot in the US or only for short periods of time so I can be there as much as possible but I've also been keeping myself busy with wedding plans for Ivy helping her to stay distracted. I've even been ill I've been so stressed which has Seb worried but I have my suspicions of what it could be.

Seb has gotten home from a lunch with Chris and Mackie and I'm waiting in the spare room which is currently empty  except for my surprise and he finds me there "What are you doing in here?" he asks "When we bought this house we wanted extra rooms for our mom's to stay friends too but we also wanted room for our kids and we chose this room because it was right across from ours so we'd always be close" I say "Yeah still not really sure why your in here though" he says and I hand him the box from the floor "You thought I was sick because of the stress of everything happening with my mom but I'm not. Open the box daddy" I say and he looks at me and then opens the box and inside is a onesie and a positive pregnancy test "I know we talked about it and waiting til after we were married but it's happening now" I say and he lifts me up and spins me around "I'm so happy" he says "You are" I say "Of course I am we're having a baby" he says "I know" I say and we kiss.

We go to the doctor the next day and have our first scan and I'm about three weeks along but I need to tell my mom give her some good news. We go to see her together and she's at home and Sebs mom happens to be visiting "I can distract my mom if you don't wanna tell her yet" he says "No we can tell them both I'd feel bad my mom knowing and yours not" I say "Okay" he says and we join them in the living room "We have some news" I say "Seb finally proposed" his mom says "Not yet mom we have something else to focus on for the next few months" he says and I hand them the ultrasound "Its still really early I'm not even a month along yet but I wanted to tell you give you something to look forward to be hopeful for" I say to my mom "Tu iubesc" she says "Tu iubesc mama" I say and we hug.
