Months Later...
I had just retired a month ago. It was pretty chill not constantly being at war, getting to hang out with Rick and occasionally save the anthro stuck in the tree. How ironic. A hundred years ago, cat pets were stuck in trees. And now, people are stuck in trees. Pretty ironic. Anyways, I had some plain clothes on and stripped of my military gear.
I was right where I wanted to be. Rick parked the car next to the side of the building. "Here we are. Don't die." Rick said with a bit of sarcasm. "Haha, I won't." I said. I then started climbing up the ladder, and after a few minutes, reached the top. I looked down to see I was probably a few hundred feet up. "You got this!" Rick exclaimed. I stood at the top of the building while smiling. I wasn't terrified. Anyways, my name is Liam Ferris. And you just read my story on how I pretty much saved the world. But at a cost. Sometimes, we don't get the happily ever after we're looking for, and that's okay. I then backflipped off the side of the building, saluting to those who lost their lives as I turned into the velociraptor again.
